Mira and Wagg exchanged a look, then almost broke into a run as they hurried over, not daring to delay even a second.
The guards naturally saw the two of them. Some recognized them and did not block their way, but they also did not step forward to greet them.
Only a high‑ranking official at the door, upon seeing them, went up to meet them, nodded slightly, and helped them knock on the door.
"Come in." A warm and gentle voice sounded from inside the office.

They saw that on the sofa in Mira's office, two people were seated.
