The two walked into the racetrack, where two horses stood at the edge: one was entirely black and shiny, and the other a red chestnut color. Just like Meng Junci had said, they stood quietly, gently licking the grass on the ground.
"Yun Ya, do you know, I've always envied you." But no more in the future.
Meng Junci said this, paying no heed to Yun Ya's reaction, and walked to the black horse. With a swift and elegant motion, she mounted the horse, winning applause from the crowd.
Yun Ya's lips curled subtly as she gently stroked the mane of the red chestnut horse. The horse snorted a few warm breaths through its nostrils and pawed the ground restlessly with its front legs. Yun Ya smiled, tugged the reins, and mounted the horse with more fluency and grace, also earning a round of applause.
