"I have to leave for a while," Kiyomi said as she looked at Sakura. They were still outside, and the feel of the sun on their skin was magnificent. It was already a good day, but Sakura hadn't expected that this would ever be a part of their conversation.
For some reason, she didn't want to even hear where the woman was headed, because she would be tempted to tag along, and that clearly wasn't what Kiyomi needed right now. It was a huge gamble for Sakura, but then she had to listen.
She had to wait and see where this took them because, at the end of the day, there was no reason for her to be worried, right?
"Is it something dangerous?" Sakura asked meekly.
She didn't want to inconvenience Kiyomi any more than she had already managed in the past few days. She didn't want to be the one to ruin whatever plans the good doctor had. It was a selfless decision, but also the hardest for the Lycan queen.
