It had taken a few days of searching to find the Baratie; it turns out that having a floating restaurant that moves around the east blue daily can make it a bit hard to track down. I actually had to steal the reservation of a pirate crew to even get that day's location. Of course I also took the captain's 2 million berri head with me too. Total losers, I mean who the hell calls themselves the seed pirates?
Anyways, today the baratie was close to its position from the original series that was around the Gecko islands. This was great for me because it allows me to kill two birds with one stone and visit both Sanji and Usopp in the same trip.
I bought five more low grade random item tokens for one hundred shop points and spun them all. The results were decent. 3 enhancement items, and two normal one piece items
Gazing glass: an hourglass-like broach. Enhances user's perception
Bracelet of enhancement: a pure white band of metal. Constitution +3
Vanta shades: a pair of triangle shaped sunglasses. Enhances user's intimidation +2 and coolness
Yuda fang: A fang five feet long filled with lethal venom from the toxic water snake species: Yuda.
Hero water: a last resort weapon that dramatically increases the user's strength in exchange for their life.
The three enhancement items were perfect fits for Usopp, Sanji and Franky. The fang would be useful for study, and the hero water… was pretty much useless to me. But I suppose studying how it converts life force onto strength would be useful for my future subordinates.
If I could replicate it and make it just sacrifice stamina for a temporary boost, now that would be a great game changer.
I shook my head to disperse those thoughts, Justice was coming up on the Baratie and I wanted to try its food in earnest, before I did some chatting with Red Leg.
The blackleg style was a powerful and versatile fighting technique. I had no real need for it but what can I say? As you have no doubt surmised by this point. I've got a bad habit of collecting interesting things, and as a true one piece fan I was fully intent on collecting the most recognisable fighting styles, weapons and things of the like.
So that brings me to now, walking into the dimmed lighting of the restaurant. To my surprise it did not mirror the anime or manga, but was actually more like the live action. It wasn't much of a shock however. The Baratie was an extremely classy restaurant in the east blue, the anime and manga depicted the inside as just a somewhat nice place to eat while the live action did it justice as a true restaurant fit for the elite. The reservation fee was 5 million berri. For the east blue that's a whole lot.
Walking into the restaurant I was greeted by Maître D' the fishman from the live action.
'Huh, I guess he exists here too'
"Hello, esteemed guest. Might I see your reservation?"
I pulled it out and handed it to the fishman.
"Ah, mister… Seed?" He gave me a strange look.
"No. I'm not the pirate that made the reservation, I'm the marine that killed him. Found the reservation in his cabin and figured it'd be a shame to not make use of such a golden opportunity." I told the man honestly.
His face visibly relaxed. Apparently he wasn't fond of pirates, as was his right as a civilian.
"Well then, right this way mister…?"
"Davil. Carter Davil."
"Well then, right this way mister Davil."

I had to say, the series didn't do the food here justice. It was seriously amazing. I ate at least twice my body weight. Thank god for one piece logic.
The waiter brought me the check and I handed him the payment. However, I also had a request.
"Sir, there is one more thing I need to take care of while I'm here."
"The waiter flashed me a friendly smile. "And what would that be good sir?"
"I'm actually here on a request from an old friend of Zeff." I fabricated an excuse to see the old chef. "I've got a message for him."
Well, it wasn't technically a lie. Zeff was actually an old acquaintance of Garp. They weren't as close as Garp and Roger were but they were friendly with each other.
"O-oh! Is that so? Well then I'll bring you to him." the waiter responded with a slightly nervous expression. I couldn't blame the poor guy, a marine comes in looking for your former pirate boss. You're gonna be nervous.
A moment later I was face to face with the former pirate himself. "So a rookie marine is here with a message from an old friend huh?" he said, looking me up and down. " Alright, rookie who sent you?"
"First of all, it's nice to meet you too, Red leg. Secondly I've got a message from Garp." I snapped at the old man.
His eyes widened slightly "Garp? What's that old fossil want?"
"He said to tell you if a kid named Monkey D. Luffy ever came to Biratie that his bill was on him. He also said that if he shouts any nonsense about being king of the pirates in your restaurant you have his permission to kick the crap out of him."
'Sorry luffy but in exchange for a better sanji you got to suffer a bit more than you did in canon.'
"Is that so? Well I'll keep it in my mind. Anything else I can help you with?"
"Yeah," I said, closing my eyes and smirking. To the surrounding sheff's astonishment, when I opened my eyes again my sharingan spun to life. "I'd be grateful if you could show me some moves from your renowned black leg fighting style."
"Those are some strange eyes, young man. But why should I show you a damn thing? You may be one of Garp's but that doesn't mean much to me."
I smirked yet again. "How about this, in exchange for a few of your techniques, I'll teach you recipes you have never dreamed of."
This was another reason why I loved the perfect memory skill. I had full access to all my previous knowledge of not just one piece but other series and my general life as well.
The reason I was so confident in the recipes I would sell Zeff was that in their series of origin, they were so delicious that the clothes of the people who ate them exploded off. Not even post-timeskip Sanji got to that level with his absolutely insane talent for cooking.
This seemed to peak Zeff's interets, "Alright I'll bite, but on one condition."
"Name it." I responded with a smile knowing I had the man.
The man shot me an incredulous look but didn't say anything. He was clearly not a fan of how confident I was.
"Sanji! Come here!"
The aforementioned boy quickly made his way over. "What is it you old geezer?" he said looking annoyed that he had been pulled away from his cooking.
Faster than anyone in the east blue could perceive, sanji was immediately struck on the head by zeff's peg-leg. "Damn brat!"
The old man turned back to me as Sanji clutched his head.
"I'll consider your offer if you can prove these recipes are truly great. So if you can out-cook my little apprentice here, I'll gladly exchange my techniques." he said with a serious expression.
'Gotta hand it to the man who takes cooking extremely seriously.' I thought with a smile. "Deal,"
—32.4 minutes later—
'I have made a mistake.'
"Please! Teach me!"
"Not a chance kid!" I shouted as I continued to try and shake the spiral-browed boy off my arm. "Zeff! Get your kid!"
"Oi! Sanji, get off the man!" Zeff shouted as he pried the boy from my arm.
I had cooked one of Soma's original dishes. The bacon-potato wrap shown in the first episode. Needless to say, I destroyed little Sanji. But the movement they had eaten the meal Sanji had jumped at me like a fucking facehugger and latched onto my arm.
The brat had then begged me to teach him how to cook like me (cough!-Soma-Cough!).
'Wait. this is an opportunity!' my face twisted into a sinister smile.
"Oi, swirly brows." I addressed the kid with Zoro's future nickname. No reason I couldn't foster some animosity between the two eternal rivals a bit early.
"I'll teach you how to cook like me." his eyes lit up.
"On one condition" My smirk must have been radiating evil at this point. "Zeff is teaching you his style right? Well, if you want to learn how to cook like me, I want you to be able to kick through steel without issue."
"What!? That's impossible!" Sanji's face dropped in an instant.
"Nothing is impossible Sanji, heck I used to be able to crush a boulder when I was still on the grand line." Zeff bragged a bit.
"Ehh!? Really? Can normal people really do that?" I could tell that Sanji was shocked to his core by this new information. Of course others in the room only assumed that he was shocked because to a normal person, kicking through steel seems impossible. But I knew that the real reason he was shocked was because of his origin.
Sanji was the third prince of the German kingdom and was modified by his father in the womb along with his siblings, however due to the actions of his mother his modifications never manifested unlike his siblings.
As modified humans, Sanji's siblings possessed abilities normal humans would find incredible. Their skin acted as an extra durable exoskeleton, they possessed immense physical strength and each had their own unique ability.
After all the abuse Sanji had faced at the hands of his family because of his lack of abilities, the notion that a normal human could possibly destroy steel with just their body was completely alien to him.
I put my hand in my pocket and pulled the Bracelet of enhancement out of my inventory.
"Here kid, this bracelet is special to me. It is part of a set of special items created by a powerful devil fruit. If you're lucky you will find the other people I gave these items to and come find me in the grand line when you're strong enough." I said, tossing the white band to him.
Sanji looked at the bracelet and back at me before walking away silently. But I could tell that he would be training his ass off in the future. After all there were a total of four things Sanji values. Zeff and the baratie, the strawhats in the future, women and cooking.
After that I exchanged a few recipes for techniques with zeff and left. I arrived in Syrup Villages half an hour later.
