Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

Chapter 6

A strange sense overwhelmed him the next morning when he woke to loud banging at his door.

It felt like a hole had opened in his very core. He was trying to gather his thoughts, but his head began to pound to the beat of the music playing outside his door.

Anger field Ravens steps as he yanked the door open. A curdling scream erupted from his mouth the moment he came face to face with his unwanted guests.

"Shut the FUCK UP!!! I'm trying to fucking sleep!"

Three stunned faces jerked back in surprise.

"You band on my door one more time and I'm removing all your damed fingers."

Raven scowled his fur evident by the sharp scalpel he was wielding.

He slammed the door shut, securely locking it before dragging his tired body back to bed.

His head hit the pillow and his eyes began to flutter shut.

The last thing he saw was his scared roommate, huddled in his blanket tears streaming down his face.

Raven woke the second time to the light streaming through the crappy dorm curtains. The heavy scent of an omega in heat weighed heavily in the air. Sounds of rushing water filled his ears accompanied by small sobs.

Memories of last night's "visitors" had Raven out of bed. He slipped on his slippers grabbed his keys and headed straight to the administration office.

Within minutes he had filed a report on the three alphas who had dared to disturb his sleep. Feeling satisfied, he made his way to the cafeteria, ordered two breakfast specials to go, and returned to his dorm room, his hand full of their breakfast.

Unsurprisingly, one of the three alphas was lying in wait at the door entrance, a scowl on his almost handsome face.

"Why the hell did you report us!?"

He growled.

"Why were you banging on MY door at two in the morning? And how did you get in?"

Raven shot back strolling past the man. An arm reached past Raven's head pressing the door shut.

"Well, I'll report you for threatening us with a knife."

"Yeah?

Ok, good luck. I was simply prepared to defend myself against. Not against one or two but three alphas who were attempting to break into my room at an Omega Dorm. If you think it will go over well by all means go right ahead."

The angry alpha pushes himself off the door clearly he'd been outwitted by this spicy omega.

"This isn't over."

He shot over his shoulder as he stomped away angrily.

Raven rolled his eyes as he stepped through the dorm doors. The heavy lock sliding into place echoed off the marble flooring.

A nagging sense returned as he waited for his elevator to arrive. He forgot something, something very important his whole being was screaming at him. His head began to pound again and he rubbed at his temple to ease the pain.

A group of giggling omegas pushed past Raven each glaring at him. Their disgust was evident on their faces.

Raven ignored them as he stood in the elevator not sparing the group a single glance.

His sister, Fiona scoffed at the slight whispering something into one of the girls' ears and they began to giggle once more.

The lights in the elevator flickered as Raven hummed. Just as he was approaching his floor a din sounded and Raven stepped forward right into the elevator doors.

The fuck!

He screamed internally rubbing his sore forehead. A dark blue screen floated before him.

Disposed of the parasite.

That was all that was displayed on the screen.

He rubbed his eyes hoping it was just a hallucination but the screen stayed put.

A second later a second message appeared.

Memories.

Raven's eyes instantly focused on the screen.

Renewed anger and bloodlust filled him. His free hand clenched into fists.

Looks like it was time to play. An evil chuckle escaped his lips. Close the screen he mumbled stepping out of the elevator.

After eating with his dorm mate, Raven left for class. The smaller omega had been apologizing profusely for his sudden heat. The poor guy had been in tears confessing to Raven his fears of the alphas actually getting in and how grateful he was to have such an awesome dorm mate.

Raven had brushed him off. He advised getting a blood test at the local hospital though. Something felt off about how sudden the heat struck.

The younger man readily agreed promising to go when everyone was busy with classes and the suppressants kicked in.

But that wasn't his problem. Raven started down the hall only to see another group waiting for the elevator.

Groaning he made his way over to the stairwell. Stairs were a thousand percent preferable to standing in a box full of gossiping omegas. He lightly jogged down the stairs feeling a bit winded and hot once he reached the bottom. Eight flights of stairs will do that to a person.

Once outside he made his way to a grove of trees taking a much-needed break under the cool canopy of leaves and branches.

The crunch of leaves alerted Raven to someone approaching. He didn't even have to turn around to o know who it was. The deep rumble of his voice sent shivers up Raven's spine.

"Can we talk?"

Sage asked stepping in front of Raven.

This was the perfect specimen of a man Raven had ever had the privilege of knowing. Although they were on terrible terms.

"Why certainly how may I help you the student body president on this fine autumn morning?" Sarcasm dripped from his lips with every word uttered.

The sarcasm was apparently not lost on Sage as he bit the inside of his mouth to keep a smile from stretching his lips.

Raven continued to fan himself opting to pull his sweater away from his scorching skin underneath.

A rush of cool air kissed his skin and he sighed in delight. Raven was so distracted cooling himself off he didn't notice Sage's heated gaze.

Sage couldn't help himself as his eyes followed Raven's every movement the scent of warm cashmere and Raven's unique scent wafted over with every pump of his small fingers against his chest. It wrapped around Sage like a web drawing him closer to this infuriating omega.

He cleared his throat with tying to clear the fog from his addled mind. He needed to focus and not on the slender pink-tipped fingers puffing the omega's sweet scent right into his nostrils.

To Sage's surprise to see an omega looke pissdd off with an alpha standard in front of him.

Most omegas would just quietly shake simply by being near his presence. Only one person could keep their composure around him.

Sage's head snapped out of it as Raven began to complain before him so openly again. Sage arched a brow in amusement, he had realized he was on the brink of a heat. Right?

"Why the hell is it so freaking hot today!?"

Raven grumbled under his breath his jaw ticked with even more irritation now because of being inconvenienced not just by a pompous alpha but even the weather was against him.

Raven's expression darkened the longer he stood there waiting for Sage to continue.

As if his prayers were being answered Sage began to speak, but Raven didn't hear a word his head suddenly felt like it was filling rapidly with water.

A sense of déjà vu overwhelmed him dread filled his body and mind like he'd done this before.

Pupils dilating Raven was once again under the tree. He got frustrated rolled his eyes and went to class like normal. Midway through the lecture he went into heat. He excused himself rushing to one of the safety rooms designated for such a problem. Once he opened the door he was roughly shoved inside. Three distinct laughs riverbarated inside the small room.

Raven shook his head clearly his mind he didn't need to see what happened next. A devilish smile stretched his soft red lips.

Sage was just about finished with what he was saying when he noticed Raven had not heard a single word.

His gaze was fixed on a single point but his eyes looked unfocused. Then his lips stretched into a smile that could seduce even the devil himself. And when his head tilted just so his lashes fluttering shut then open again Sage had quiet complete forgot what he had been trying to say.
