Chapter 52 - Chapter 19: Decisive Battle of fallen Yava Viskans Part 5

On Top of the Cliff

The soldiers didn't pay much attention to the snapping rope, but most of their concern was locked on the supply box, with anticipation, their eyes fixed on its descent.

"This is bad." "What?" one of the soldiers from the back rushed towards the rope end, while another was shouting at him, "What… what happened, hey stop… stop!"

Aliyan's eyelids were drenched in his blood; it was becoming very hard for him to keep his eyes open, but he was still.

"I thought we were alone." A memory flashed. "What are you doing?" soldiers asked that soldier who was pushing the other side, while grabbing the rope end. A small wooden piece pierced his palm; blood soaked a part of that rope. He smiled and remembered.

"We are no longer alone. We are no longer sole survivors, Aliyan."

"WE TWO ARE NOT ALONE!" Aliyan and that soldier roared at the same time. Two bright bluish-violet lights exploded in the area; such light flowed across the rope in the form of lightning.

The snapping rope became stable, and they both had the same smile on their face. Meanwhile, other soldiers, unable to understand what happened, moved a few steps back in confusion and fear.

Turning Back to the Yava Viskans Battlefield

After a few minutes, Carciyan reached in front of his fellow Yava Viskans. He slowed down as he saw them. He stopped a few steps before them and stood there for a few seconds.

"Carciyan, what happened there?" one of the Yava Viskans shouted while trying to move towards him, blocking attacking beasts around them.

"CARCIYAN! Look back!" he roared. Carciyan was still in that lost state, but his shout reminded him why he was here. Within a few seconds, he swiftly moved his sword, splitting the attacking beast in two.

Carciyan took a deep breath and shouted, "I am sorry. I failed you all; she is… she was… She entered inside the beast's body and then…"

"Don't worry, sir!" one of the Yava Viskans shouted. "Tlenion is also…" Before Carciyan could complete his sentence, a loud beast roar exploded in the area.

Everyone turned towards the source of the sound, but within a few moments, the pressure on their body increased, forcing them to kneel down. Only a few among them were able to endure such pressure.

Beasts around them were also frozen in their respective places. Some of the beasts still tried to take advantage of such a situation, but something was stopping them from doing the same.

Carciyan looked towards the source of that roar and then looked towards the beasts who were trying to kill them a few minutes ago — they were still in their places.

He felt something strange and started focusing on the sound, but before he could understand, one of the Yavas shouted in pain. They turned towards him in shock and saw one of the beasts piercing its teeth inside his shoulder.

That person was shouting in pain; he was trying to kill that beast but was unable to do the same due to the pain. His fellow Yava Viskans rushed to help him, but only a few of them were able to move towards him. They pierced their blade inside that beast and started to stab him again and again.

The beast ignored all such attacks, but its teeth continued to sink further into that Yava Viskan's flesh. His scream soon started to fade away. When he was about to close his eyes, he saw Carciyan moving towards him.

Carciyan swung his blade, and within three to five seconds, he launched fourteen to sixteen slashes on that beast. The beast's jaw ligament slashed open, which provided the fellow Yava Viskans a chance to free him. With a single movement, they pulled him out of that beast's mouth.

They tried their best to clean his wound; one of them tore his sleeves and then wrapped a comparably clean inner cloth around his wound. Carciyan, without waiting even for a moment, continued his attack. After a few minutes, that beast roared and fell on the ground.

During this time, the majority of them recovered a bit and tried to stand in their place. The majority of beasts had already recovered, but they were still hesitating and frozen in their own place. Their breath was so slow that they were barely felt alive.

Carciyan, holding his blade, was carefully looking towards the beasts for any possible attacks, but when nothing happened, he relaxed for a second. Carciyan looked towards that person who was attacked by the beast.

In confusion, he moved closer to that person and extended his head to see his wound area.

He looked towards his wound, but in confusion, moved back and then moved further, trying to remember the beast's roar.

"Arrrgghh!" Another sound exploded in the area. Some of the beasts were trying to attack, but due to such a roar, their steps stopped in mid-air, and they moved their feet back.

"That sound," Carciyan said, looking towards the source, but wasn't able to see anything as the light was so low in that area. Another sound exploded in the area; Yava Viskans who were struggling to stand were unable to hold their ground.

Their heads started to spin, blood flowed from their nose and ears. Carciyan looked towards his fellow Yava Viskans, and then he looked towards the source of that roar. Suddenly, two bright light energies exploded in the area at a distance.

Flashes of that light revealed the source of that sound. That humungous beast was roaring. "Carciyan, look there!" one of the earlier Yava Viskans said, pointing towards that beast.

Carciyan tried his best to look where that person was pointing, but soon the flash disappeared, and he lost light to see in that dark. Darkness completely covered the area, and they all lost their sense of sight.

Carciyan moved towards a possible attack, but before he could, he stopped. He turned back to his place while slowly moving across the area and stopped where he was standing earlier.

He moved a few steps forward and looked towards the area where such humungous beasts were.

He tried to look towards that area, and after trying for a bit, he saw a spark.

"What is that?" he slowly muttered. Before anyone else could notice, the area exploded in another deafening roar. Yava Viskans' eyes turned red by the earlier impact, but now…
