It was indeed a worthwhile fight for the dejected Adam. It wasn't surprising for him to lose in a fight—the only fight he has lost badly. Nonetheless, he had finally experienced fighting a real powerhouse.
Timothy was, in short, a monster of his generation. Although he was only able to perform five bloodline transformations, he wasn't at the peak.
There were indeed people at the peak, with nine transformations, each having a bloodline close to complete purity. But these people were in total seclusion, waiting for the night of the Asura star to finally come.
On that night, planet earth was meant to ascend the rankings, and enter the era of trial. There wasn't that much information about it since Adam didn't sit at home to learn in the first place.
