Carson Flores and Cassiane Sinclair had just set foot on the island when they saw Alfred Weaver flying over like a joyful bolt of lightning.
"Brother!"
Carson hugged Alfred and laughed, "It's been a long time, how have you been?"
Alfred pouted and said, "All of you ran off, leaving me alone on the island to watch the house, it's so unfair!"
Carson asked in surprise, "Wasn't Mary Jimenez with you?"
Alfred blinked and whispered, "Sister Mary left me a letter and sneaked away."
Carson asked in surprise, "Where did she go?"
"She didn't say."
Alfred replied, "She just said her cultivation was stuck. She's looking for a way to break through the bottleneck and wanted me to tell you not to worry about her. It might take a while, but she'll be back once she's done."
Carson sighed inwardly. The women around him were all very independent and not the kind to rely on men as fragile flowers. Carson couldn't stop them from doing what they wanted to do.
