After Wally spoke the question everyone thought the zeta tube announced the entrance of the questioned party.
"Recognized C-0'13 Ibis
Recognized C-0'22 Ice"
As they entered Ibis was the one who took everyone's attention due to his way of dress which was.
An outfit that was a regal and mystical ensemble with strong Egyptian and arcane influences. He wears a golden helmet with a smooth, featureless faceplate that has only narrow slits for eyes, giving him an enigmatic and authoritative presence. A flowing golden cape drapes over his shoulders, fastened with an ornamental collar that resembles ancient Egyptian designs. His dark robes are accented with golden trims and feature a glowing ankh symbol on the chest, reinforcing his connection to powerful mystical forces. He carries an ornate staff topped with a glowing sigil in the shape of a stylized ibis, symbolizing wisdom and magic, and holds an ancient tome, suggesting scholarly knowledge and arcane mastery.
The second to enter was Ice who was wearing an outfit that was a sleek and stylish bodysuit with an icy aesthetic. The form-fitting suit is primarily blue with white accents running along the sides, emphasizing a dynamic and athletic look. She wears a cropped white top over the bodysuit, adding a layered and unique design element. Her boots and gloves are white, with fluffy fur-like trim at the ankles, reinforcing a cold or wintery theme. Her short, flowing white hair complements the icy color scheme, giving her a striking and elegant appearance. The overall design suggests agility, grace, and a connection to frost or ice-based powers.
Once both walked through and stood next to Josh. Josh began to explain the rules after introductions.
"The reason both Ibis and Ice are here is to help us with capture the Flag."
Everyone looked at the visitors in a pained expression until Artemis asked the other question that plagued their minds.
"Um what's with the scoreboard?"
Josh and everyone looked to the board as a remembrance to its being. Where Josh then explained today's training.
"Today you all will fight against me and these two."
The team was surprised by that but allowed Josh to explain the game. Unlike last time there was a scoreboard to show on how much everyone's improved and to see how they grow.
However if Josh, Ibis, and or Ice score more points then any of the team they had to go again until they succeed.
However the points scored were based entirely on connecting hits or countering attacks for another points will be based on a third party who was impartial and the one who was brought as said third party was Red Tornado.
Once the rules and parameters were set Josh clapped his hands "alright before we begin Ibis. Ice. Can both of you give us a rundown of your abilities so my team knows what they're working with?"
Both Ibis and Ice looked to each other and back to Josh. Where after a moment Ibis was the first speaker who spoke perfect English sounding as he was born in the country and not Egypt.
"Why yes, Shift my powers rely on the Arcane. Which is only limited by my imagination"
Everyone focused on how Ibis spoke, giving key details to each word spoken until he finished where Ice then spoke English which wasn't as good as Ibis but carried a Romanian accent along with it.
"My powers too rely on imagination but mine instead of the archaic arts are more based on the elemental side."
"Like Ice!?" This was Wally who spoke up taking everyone's attention causing Josh to actually slap himself and apologized to Ice in Wally's stead only to earn a sultry gaze from Ice looking at both fit boys and say "I don't mind it."
Two people reacted strongly to what Ice said the first being the most excited Kid Flash who was thinking perverse thoughts as he stared at the literal Ice beauty in front of him. Capitalizing her beauty like a carved ice statue. The only other reaction and impression was a negative one from Artemis. Who wasn't pleased at how she looked towards Josh.
Which all of this was unknown to Josh as his head was bowed in apology until he raised it seeing the looks Ice was being given and at a last ditch hope for this training to go well Josh changed the topic.
"Alright! I forgot to mention the handicaps of this game."
The team was surprised by the words only for Superboy to voice them demanding to Josh "We don't need handicaps!"
Josh deadpanned at the response and clapped his hands causing a replay of his defeat from black canary to show. This infuriated Connor but heard another clap showing several other videos of the team falling and failing including Josh.
As everyone watched their individual video as Josh spoke again, dividing their attention towards their leader. "I understand how you feel Connor but we all need to improve as the bad guys won't give us the time to take a break and get stronger. That's why we do so on our own on our own time. Which is now."
*CLAP*
After the videos were watched and Josh listened to Josh gave a big clap opening a hidden set of stairs leading to a secret floor. Before any could ask questions the sounds of wind whirling downward from above caught everyone's eye.
This was Red Tornado who was levitating downward through his Aerokinies. Which surrounded him like a snake to a mouse. The wind itself was colored the same as his metallic skin being a bright crimson.
Once grounded Red Tornado looked to the team then to the guests and then towards Josh who spoke in his robotic monotone "I will watch over your progress."
Leaving it short and sweet Josh pats Red Tornado on his shoulder as he uses a hand gesture to get the team moving. The first to follow and take the lead was Kid Flash who ran down the stairs while everyone else walked.
As the stairs were being walked down all who walked could hear an excited Wally who was ecstatic by what he saw. Causing the team to also be moderately boosted. Until they got down where a vending machine was the cause of all the excitement.
Wally leaning against the machine was eating a chocolate bar from it with chocolate all over his face getting a dirty expression from mostly everyone. Except Josh who ignored the fast glutton and flipped a switch which revealed a steel platform the length of a football field. With two distinct posts on the first one had a flag colored red and in the other corner was a blue flag.
Once the field was present and all the participants were aboard Josh spoke his final words before the brawl. "Okay now back to the Handicaps I mentioned earlier."
Everyone listened intently except Connor who didn't show he actually was listening with a grunt. Caldur, M'gan, Artemis, and Robin listened while Kid was dozing off sarcastically awaiting the action. Ibis and Ice were already told about the Handicaps beforehand and are like Wally awaiting the time to where they can show off.
Josh then explained three terms to the Team being the Supporter, Defender, and Attacker. These were familiar terms to both Kid and Robin who've played video games. Bust Josh added a twist to these positions.
Supporter, would be helping the attacker and defender staying in the middle field making sure no one passes them. Attacker, is as it stands the main force that attacks the opponents earning themselves points in the process. Then finally Defender, Which would be in charge of defending the flag pole from the Team.
Josh then told of another rule He, Ibis, and Ice would have to follow every five minutes they'd switch positions but within each time they must create contact with each other by touch to switch positions. However the trio can't skip positions as Defender going straight to attacker. Instead the Defender must make contact with the Supporter and then from there make contact with the Attacker within that process.
After the rules were set all players assumed their positions Ibis led the charge against the Team while Josh was the supporter and Ice the Defender. And with a universal sound for Josh's form of fighting the game began with an emerald glow.
