Far across the vast Orange Archipelago, on a small, mysterious island shrouded in ancient legend, stood the Shamouti Shrine. The shrine was built atop a rocky cliff overlooking the endless sea, its weathered stone pillars covered in moss and glowing faintly under the moonlight. A lone Slowking sat solemnly on the highest step, its crown-like shell glowing with psychic energy as it guarded the sacred site.
The Slowking's eyes were closed in deep meditation. Suddenly, its mouth opened, and in a slow, ancient-sounding voice, it began to recite the long-forgotten prophecy that had been passed down for generations:
"Disturb not the harmony of fire, ice and lightning,
Lest these titans wreak destruction upon the world with their clash.
Though the waters' great guardian shall arise to quell their fighting,
Alone its song will fail, lest the earth turn to ash.
Oh, chosen one, intertwine hands, bring together all three.
Their treasures combine, tame the beasts of the sea."
The words echoed softly across the shrine, carried by the night wind toward the dark ocean. Slowking remained still after finishing the prophecy, as if waiting for the day when the chosen one would finally appear.
Meanwhile, high above the clouds, a massive, technologically advanced aircraft sliced silently through the sky. Inside the luxurious command center, holographic displays floated in the air, showing detailed 3D models of three legendary Pokémon: the fiery Moltres, the electric Zapdos, and the icy Articuno.
Sitting in a grand leather chair was Lawrence III a wealthy, sophisticated collector with sharp features, slicked-back silver hair, and an elegant suit. His eyes gleamed with obsession as he studied the holograms.
"For years I have collected the world's most valuable antiques," he murmured to himself. "But my collection remains incomplete without the three legendary birds. Moltres… Zapdos… Articuno. Any one of them would be priceless. But why settle for one when I can have all three?"
A cold smile formed on his lips.
"And once I possess the three… the fourth and most powerful bird shall reveal itself Lugia, the guardian of the seas."
Lawrence III pressed a button on his control panel. The aircraft changed course, heading straight toward Fire Island, the sacred home of Moltres.
As the aircraft approached the volcanic island, Lawrence gave the order. "Fire the ice cannons."
Huge barrels emerged from the sides of the aircraft and launched barrage after barrage of freezing ice projectiles toward the heart of the island. The attacks struck Moltres's nesting area, provoking the legendary Fire-type bird.
With an enraged cry that shook the heavens, Moltres burst forth from the volcano in a blaze of orange flames. Its wings spread wide, radiating intense heat as it soared into the sky.
Lawrence watched with satisfaction. "Perfect. Now weaken it."
More ice cannons fired, striking Moltres repeatedly. The legendary bird roared in fury and pain as the freezing attacks chipped away at its fiery power. After a prolonged assault, Moltres finally faltered. A massive capture net shot out from the aircraft and successfully ensnared the weakened Fire bird.
Moltres was pulled into the aircraft's holding chamber, still struggling but unable to break free.
Lawrence leaned back in his chair, a triumphant smile on his face. "One down. Two to go."
However, as Lawrence began following the ancient prophecy by capturing the birds, the world's climate began to shift unnaturally. Dark clouds gathered in distant skies. The seas grew restless. A strange, ominous energy started spreading across the Orange Archipelago.
Unbeknownst to Lawrence, his actions were disturbing the delicate harmony between fire, ice, and lightning and the prophecy's warning was beginning to come true.
Somewhere in the vast expanse of the Orange Archipelago, a sleek speed boat cut gracefully through the sparkling blue waves. The vessel belonged to a cheerful woman named Maren, who had generously offered to ferry Ash and his group to their next destination. The wind was refreshing, carrying the salty scent of the sea as the boat sped forward under the bright afternoon sun.
After winning the Orange League Championship, Ash had decided to take a few relaxed days to enjoy the islands with his loved ones before returning to Kanto. The victory still felt fresh the trophy safely stored, the Hall of Fame induction still warm in their memories, and the joy of the celebration lingering in everyone's hearts.
On the deck of Maren's boat, the group was enjoying a light meal together. Ash had prepared some simple but delicious sandwiches, fresh fruit, and cool drinks. The girls sat close to him, basking in the warm sunlight and the peaceful atmosphere.
Misty leaned against Ash's shoulder, munching on a berry sandwich. "This is perfect. After all that intense battling, just relaxing on the sea with you feels like heaven."
Sabrina sat gracefully on his other side, her hand resting lightly on his arm. "The Orange Islands have been unforgettable. I'm glad we're taking this final journey together before heading back."
Daisy smiled warmly, feeding a small piece of fruit to Eevee who was curled up nearby. "You really earned this break, Ash. You worked so hard to become Champion."
Giselle, still a bit shy but much more open now, rested her head against Ash's back. "Being with you like this… it makes every day feel special, Master Ash."
Tracey was sitting a little further away, sketching the ocean view while occasionally glancing at the group with a smile. "You all look so happy. This is great material for my Watcher's journal!"
As they were enjoying the moment, Maren the boat's owner approached them with a friendly grin. She was a lively woman in her late twenties with sun-kissed skin and a sailor's cap.
"Hey there! Mind if I join you for a bit?" she asked cheerfully. "I'm Maren. Nice to meet such a lively group!"
Ash smiled and introduced everyone. "I'm Ash. These are Misty, Sabrina, Daisy, Giselle, and Tracey. We just finished the Orange League."
Maren's eyes widened in recognition. "Wait you're the new Orange League Champion?! I heard about your victory against Drake! Congratulations!"
The girls beamed with pride, and Ash rubbed the back of his neck modestly. "Thank you. We're just enjoying the last few days here before heading back to Kanto."
Maren tilted her head curiously. "So what's your next destination?"
Ash replied, "We wanted one final relaxing journey through the Orange Islands. Nothing too serious just exploring and making memories."
Maren's face lit up. "In that case, why not visit Shamouti Island? They're holding their annual Legend Festival right now! It's based on the old prophecy about the Chosen One who helps Lugia calm the legendary birds. There's music, dancing, and a beautiful ceremony. It's one of the most magical events in the archipelago!"
Misty's eyes sparkled with excitement. "A Legend Festival? That sounds amazing!"
Sabrina nodded with interest. "The prophecy… I've heard some fragments of it from locals. It would be fascinating to see it celebrated."
Daisy clapped her hands. "Let's go! It'll be the perfect way to end our time here."
Giselle smiled shyly but eagerly. "I would love to see it with everyone."
Ash chuckled at their enthusiasm. "Looks like we're going to Shamouti Island then."
Maren grinned. "Perfect! You can tag along with me on this boat. I was already heading in that direction. We should arrive by tomorrow morning if the winds are good."
While the group happily agreed and continued chatting with Maren, Ash's mind drifted for a moment. From his past life memories, he knew exactly what the "Power of One" prophecy meant and what kind of danger was coming. His expression turned serious for a brief second before he smirked inwardly.
Lawrence III… if you're really out there trying to capture the birds, I've got a little surprise prepared for you.
Making sure no one was looking, Ash quietly reached into his System space. A beautiful, glowing Lugia Egg appeared in his hands. He carefully placed it into a special egg incubator hidden inside his backpack, setting the device to optimal conditions.
Just in case… he thought with a small, confident smile.
The group resumed their relaxing journey on Maren's speed boat, the sea breeze carrying them smoothly toward Shamouti Island. Laughter, stories, and the gentle sound of waves filled the air as they looked forward to the Legend Festival unaware of the ancient forces that were already beginning to stir.
