Both Dragonites hovered in the center of the sandy battlefield, exhausted but unyielding. Their massive wings beat slowly, chests heaving with heavy breaths. Scratches, burns, and frost marks covered their powerful orange bodies. The two legendary dragons stared each other down with fierce respect a silent acknowledgment of the legendary battle they had just fought.
The entire Pummelo Stadium held its breath.
Then, with a final, tired roar, Drake's Dragonite slowly descended. Its wings faltered, and the mighty ace finally collapsed onto the sand, unable to continue.
Drake's Dragonite is unable to battle! Ash Ketchum wins the Orange League Championship!
For a split second, the stadium was completely silent.
Then it erupted.
The roar was deafening a tidal wave of cheers, screams, and applause that shook the very foundations of Pummelo Stadium. Flags waved wildly, people jumped in their seats, and chants of "ASH! ASH! ASH!" thundered across the arena.
Misty screamed with joy, tears in her eyes. "He did it! Ash actually did it!!"
Sabrina smiled beautifully, pride radiating from her. "He really became the Orange League Champion…"
Daisy hugged Giselle tightly, both girls crying happy tears. "Our Ash… he won!"
Giselle wiped her eyes. "Master Ash… I'm so proud of you!"
Tracey was cheering while still sketching the final moment. "This is history! Absolute history!"
On the field, Drake recalled his fallen Dragonite with a gentle hand. The veteran trainer looked at his long-time partner with deep affection and respect before turning toward Ash. A genuine, warm smile spread across his face the smile of a champion who had finally met his equal.
"After a decade of defending this title… I finally remember what defeat feels like," Drake said, walking forward. "And it doesn't feel bad at all. Not when it's against a trainer like you, Ash."
He extended his hand. Ash stepped forward and shook it firmly, both trainers looking each other in the eyes with mutual respect.
"You fought incredibly, Drake," Ash said sincerely. "Your Dragonite is one of the strongest opponents I've ever faced. Thank you for this battle."
Drake laughed heartily. "The pleasure was mine, Champion."
The referee announced the official result as the crowd continued cheering. Drake personally led Ash and his team toward the grand victory podium. Ash's Pokémon Pikachu on his shoulder, Eevee trotting beside him, Arcanine, Lapras, Icelix, and Dragonite walking proudly behind followed their trainer with heads held high.
At the top of the podium, Drake lifted the coveted Orange League Winner's Trophy a beautiful golden cup shaped like a majestic Dragonite soaring over the islands and handed it to Ash.
"Congratulations, Ash Ketchum. You are the new Orange League Champion!"
The crowd's cheers reached a new peak as Ash raised the trophy high above his head with both hands. Fireworks exploded in the sky above the stadium. His girls cheered the loudest from the sidelines, waving and blowing kisses.
But the ceremony wasn't over.
Drake gestured toward the Orange League Hall of Fame building connected to the stadium. "And now, for the greatest honor…"
Ash and all six of his Pokémon were led to the Hall of Fame. One by one, they pressed their footprints (and Ash his handprint) into fresh concrete, immortalizing them forever as champions. A large group photo was taken Ash standing proudly in the center holding the trophy, surrounded by Pikachu, Eevee, Arcanine, Lapras, Icelix, and Dragonite.
The flashbulbs went off repeatedly as the group posed together. Pikachu made a victory pose on Ash's shoulder, Eevee tilted its head cutely, Arcanine stood tall and majestic, Lapras and Icelix looked regal, and Dragonite spread its wings proudly behind them.
Ash looked at his team with deep emotion, his eyes slightly misty.
"We did it together," he whispered. "All of us."
The Hall of Fame induction was complete. Ash Ketchum's name and team were now permanently part of Orange League history.
As the celebrations continued and confetti rained down, Ash stood on the podium once more, trophy in hand, surrounded by the people and Pokémon he loved most.
The Orange League had a new Champion.
The flashbulbs continued to go off as Ash and his team posed proudly in front of the Orange League Hall of Fame. The golden trophy gleamed in his hands while Pikachu made a victory pose on his shoulder, Eevee tilted its head cutely beside him, and his other Pokémon Arcanine, Lapras, Icelix, and Dragonite stood tall and majestic behind him.
The entire stadium was still cheering wildly as the induction ceremony concluded. Ash's name and his team's footprints were now permanently immortalized in the Hall of Fame alongside the greatest trainers in Orange League history.
As the group stepped down from the podium, surrounded by congratulations from league officials and roaring applause from the crowd, a familiar chime rang only in Ash's mind.

Sabrina leaned in with a knowing, soft smile. "As expected. You've earned every bit of it."
Daisy and Giselle both hugged him tightly from the sides, their eyes shining with happiness and pride. They knew exactly what the System meant and how much this victory truly represented.
The girls shared quiet, excited glances with Ash, their bond making the moment even more special. Tracey, walking nearby and still sketching enthusiastically, remained completely unaware of the secret conversation happening within the harem.
As the celebrations continued around them fireworks lighting up the evening sky, confetti raining down, and the crowd chanting Ash's name the new Orange League Champion stood tall with his family by his side.
The long journey through the Orange Archipelago had finally reached its triumphant end.
But Ash knew deep down that this was only the beginning of something even greater.
