Mu Xinlan waited until Angel fell asleep before turning off the bedside lamp and returning to her own room. Her mood was heavy; Pan Shuyi passed away so alone, without even a relative to see her off.
She really didn't know if hiding the truth from Angel like this was right or wrong, even though she told Angel that story, Angel didn't truly understand what death meant.
Cheng Zhiming was half-leaning against the headboard reading a magazine. When he saw Mu Xinlan return, he put the magazine aside and asked with a smile, "Is Angel asleep?"
"Mm!"
Mu Xinlan got into bed, curled up in Cheng Zhiming's embrace, and buried her face in his chest, crying 'sob sob', which startled him, and he quickly comforted, "What's wrong? Why the sudden tears out of nowhere?"
"Eiran, Shuyi is gone..."
Mu Xinlan sobbed, "She was so pitiful, dying alone in a foreign land..."
"Sigh..."
