"As if he needs to tell me that before I know," Xander grumbled in response.
Then after a moment of uncomfortable silence he added, "Is your leg and shoulder fine?"
Vinn smiled. She knew that Xander lacked the capability to be angry with her for a long time. She only truly hoped that would never change.
"I can manage," She said.
"You will have to bear with the pain till we get out of here. The dislocation on your shoulders seem severe enough to warrant the need for a Healer."
Vinn knew that much, but knowing that he was concerned enough to notice the small details about her impediment made her smile nonetheless.
However her glee did not last for long when someone shoved her hard from behind causing her to topple forward until she fell against Xander who caught her easily by the waist.
Looking furiously behind her to search for the culprit, she was faced with a group of the villagers who were still displeased with Dawn's decision.
