The Divine Soul is the foundation of all living beings. Thus, Hongmeng first integrated the Hongmeng Path and the Hongmeng Purple Qi into the Divine Soul. Moreover, his physical body was not his own but belonged to his predecessor. When he transmigrated, his Divine Soul and physical body were well-matched, yet not perfectly compatible. After all, another's body will always belong to another. If explained by genetics, the genes in his body were those of his predecessor, not his own.
Therefore, Hongmeng prepared to first fully merge the Hongmeng Path and the Hongmeng Purple Qi into the Divine Soul, and then use the Divine Soul as the origin to recast his physical body. Only such a body could perfectly fit with him. In the future, there would be no future complications. He would not reach a certain level of cultivation only to find progress hindered by an imperfect fit between the physical body and the Divine Soul.
