Chaos!
No matter where one looked, it was pure chaos.
Both sides of DreadHaven's army had collided against Mystveil's army. The results were as disastrous as expected.
Despite being outnumbered by a significant margin, DreadHaven's army was wreaking havoc on the battlefield. Not to forget, all of them had the effect of golden apples on them; each soldier fought like an entire army of their own.
Of course, Mystveil's army had smuggled golden apples as well, but their quantity was far less than DreadHaven's, the original producers of the golden apples.
And because of the difference in numbers of both army, Mystveil's army was having a hard time using Area of Effect attacks, since it only resulted in more of their own men dying.
And not to forget, the biggest factor here was Reiza's brother, Rin! With the presence of his unique skill "Die Hard," it was impossible for the weapons and shields forged by him to break, rust, or shatter at all, granting them infinite durability.
Screams and shouts filled the area, and the sounds of metal clashing blurred the hearing senses of others.
It was hard to even see if there were two separate fights going on or if it was just one big, massive brawl.
On the right flank, Mystveil's army formed a disciplined formation. They didn't directly engage in the fight.
Instead, they held their ground. At the very front stood spearmen, the specific ones carrying body-level shields. Behind them, hundreds of mages lined up in neat rows, each carrying a wand in their hand.
"Everyone, cast the spell!" the commander of the ground forces, stationed at the very front and riding a war horse, shouted, pointing his sword forward.
Hundreds of mages chanted at once, their voices moving in sync as if they were singing some dark melody.
Fireballs, earth spikes, lightning balls, and many more lethal projectiles formed above them, ready to tear apart DreadHaven's army.
The commander's eyes were narrowing, his gaze fixed forward. He waited for all the dust to clear, which had been kicked up into the air by the trembling of the moving armies.
The dust made it quite hard to see.
"Ready!" he continued but still waited for the dust to settle.
And soon enough, the dust began to settle.
A faint smile emerged on his lips as he commanded, "Shoot— No, WAIT!" He immediately withdrew his order, his eyes widening in disbelief.
Because, the moment the dust cleared up, there was nothing.
The entire army of DreadHaven soldiers they had been facing was gone.
"How?" he said to himself. Not only him, but the whole contingent of his army was confused by what had just happened.
And then, one by one, his own men started to fall down, a bright, satisfied smile emerging on their lips.
"Ohh, my angel..."
"Yes, pain, war is too much pain. I want to rest in your lap..."
Many of his sleeping soldiers started to mumble to themselves with a satisfied yet uncanny smile.
Before the commander could understand the situation, a voice, smooth as silk, rang in his ear.
"Oh my, look at these firm hands, broad chest. Ahh... such big fingers, amhn~," a voice of an incredibly seductive woman whispered, her tone like a soothing melody.
As the commander turned, he saw a woman with an otherworldly figure sitting in front of him. She was biting her lower lip while looking at his fingers.
Big, round chest; a waist that anyone would want to grab and squeeze. Juicy lips that anyone would hope to kiss all day.
And her beauty was enhanced by clothes with cleavage at just the right proportions.
Seductive, too seductive.
She leaned close, her soft chest pressing against him, and looked up at him with teary eyes.
"Will you pamper me, darling?"
At that moment, he forgot. He forgot who and where he was. He forgot about his wife and his two daughters.
He could only think about the woman in front of him, her naked body, how good it would be to impregnate her, all the dirty thoughts flooding his mind.
But before he could let his beast out, a loud voice directly pierced his ears.
"WAKE UP, COMMANDER GANTZ!"
The shout was like a jolt of pure energy, a brutal antidote to the enchantment that had poisoned his mind. It immediately snapped him awake.
And the moment he did, he found himself lurching sideways, almost falling from his horse. He frantically grabbed the reins, catching his balance just in time, his heart hammering against his ribs like a trapped bird.
And when he looked around, he saw the true horror. Hundreds of succubi were flying in the air, their forms shimmering as they weaved through the ranks of the Mystveil army. They weren't killing them; they were enchanting them, putting them into a simulated 'dream' from which they would never wake.
Because unknown to him, DreadHaven's army vanishing out of nowhere was just an illusion magic trick, a casual deception played by Lunatic, the succubus queen.
"Terrifying... succubuses are terrifying," he trembled, every bone in his body shivered with a cold dread.
"Focus on the present, commander," the voice came again, firm and cutting through the chaos.
This time, Commander Gantz paid attention. He turned to see whose voice it was and, just as he expected, it was Adam, one of the main members of the Holy Knights. He was fighting quite far away, yet his voice could still echo all the way here amidst all those noises.
Without another word, Adam turned his horse around, pushing it towards a certain direction as if he had already had his opponent in mind.
Meanwhile, on the left side of the battlefield, the quantity of DreadHaven's army was even lower, but they were by no means any less lethal.
Cryptus, despite his small stature and bony body, moved in a blur, defeating dozens of soldiers in the blink of an eye. There was no need to use any complex magic; just one swing of his arm and an opponent was cut into two pieces.
Irish, Ingrassia, Chiyoko, and Richard were also providing great support. Other than Irish, they might not have been as strong as Scarlett's closest subordinates, but their strength was far greater than that of these elite soldiers.
Not to forget, many of the Mystveil soldiers were getting confused after seeing them, unsure if they were allies or enemies.
But they were not the main reason for this side of the army to match the lethality of Li Feng's forces. There were only two main reasons behind it.
The first was Reiza!
She was like a living canon, the ground trembled with each step she took. A simple clap from her generated enough force to shatter boulders. Not to forget, she moved at blinding speed despite her massive size, just casually crushing the army under her feet.
Her fear on the battlefield was so immense that others were terrified to get anywhere near her, which actually reduced their own advancing speed as they tried to keep their distance.
And lastly, the second thing was—Summons.
Cryptus had also trained his forces to summon different monsters. There was no scarcity of lethal monsters in the demon realm. Some intelligent enough, they could just make a pact with; some they forcefully summoned and made them obey.
Because of the summons, they could keep up with Mystveil's insane numbers. If one were to see from afar, it somehow looked like Mystveil's army was facing an equally big army.
Not to forget, there were all kinds of monsters summoned. Some very small but poisonous. Some as big as a small hill. Some shooting sonic waves, or some with incredibly high defense.
Humans are adaptable creatures, but they need time for that. They could defeat these monsters by finding out their weaknesses. But to adapt to such a hazardous situation with little to no time made their situation quite dire.
Because of all those reasons, despite not having so many incredibly strong individuals like Li Feng, Xao Feng, Lunatic, Arpeus, Kroenen, and many more, they were actually in much better condition.
But just like them, Vladimir could also see the situation of his army. They were getting wrecked from both sides. He couldn't just let it be; having numbers alone wasn't everything on the battlefield.
He knew that all his soldiers were elite soldiers trained for dire situations, but Mystveil hadn't really gone to war for the past hundred years. And now that the time had come, it was against these extraordinary demons and monsters at that.
Still, he believed in his soldiers, that they could fight back. All they needed was a short breather, that would reduce their stress level.
He immediately took out a small paper note from his pocket and read it carefully.
And then he looked behind him, at all those sturdy, tall war robots that had been holding their position.
"Overwrite command–0018. Go full destruction mode on anything that isn't human," he commanded, his voice cold and decisive.
The moment he said it, all the robots stopped moving. Their eyes turned from a soft red to a menacing, blood red.
"Now go attackkk!"

Meanwhile, back in the basements of the royal palace of Mystveil, Feyre's body was still suspended in the tube, immersed in the strange green liquid and blood.
Scarlett's resistance was turning stronger with each passing second. With each second her body fought back, Feyre's suffering intensified even more.
Her skin and bones were twisting slowly on their own, like someone otherworldly was squeezing her entire body, slowly turning her into a meat paste.
Her body had long been disfigured in an eerie way. Her beautiful, pale face had turned horrible, twisted into a mask of agony that barely resembled the person she once was.
The pain had gone past its limits. She wanted to die, to die and end this misery.
Yet no matter how much she wished for it, she couldn't die. The tube would suck in the blood, and her body would regenerate again, just enough to keep her alive no matter what, ensuring the torment would continue without end.
"Kill me, someone please kill me," she cried to herself in the lone basement.
But there was no one to hear her plea.
