Chapter 5 - Preparation for war

After Zigeyr vanished completely, Idom exhaled and poured himself a glass of water. His hands trembled slightly, and the ripples in the glass looked like tiny earthquakes.Today had been beyond exhausting. The very foundation of his understanding of the world had crumbled.

"Gods," he muttered under his breath, almost laughing. "They actually exist."He took a slow sip. "According to his words, they're sleeping… and they're going to awaken. But if all gods are asleep, why is he awake? Too many mysteries…"

He barely finished the thought when a familiar voice cut through the silence behind him.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you—start preparing for war."

The glass shattered against the floor."P–Poofff—coughcough!" Idom spun around, coughing water. Zigeyr stood behind him, wearing that same eternal smile.

'He must be doing this on purpose,' Idom thought.

"Well, no," Zigeyr replied casually, "though it's fun to watch. And yes, I can read your mind."

Idom's mouth twitched, but he forced himself to remain silent. "What… do you mean by preparing for war?"

"You humans and your questions," Zigeyr sighed. "I am going to unify this world. One nation, one order. You'll begin the process. Five months."

Idom hesitated. "But… if we do that, we'll be condemned by the international community. We'll be seen as aggressors—"

Zigeyr's laughter cut him off, echoing through the marble walls. "You think the opinions of mortals will matter when the gods awaken? When the skies tear and the seas burn? Principles and diplomacy will die first. The world will drown in its own wars, whether you start them or not."

Idom lowered his gaze, thinking furiously. If Aliana moved first, the world would brand them villains. If they didn't, they might not survive at all.

Zigeyr turned to leave. "Don't worry. I'll intervene. Your victory is inevitable."

And just like that, he was gone again.

Nai City, Plea Nation

On the roof of a high-rise apartment, Zigeyr stood with his hands clasped behind his back, eyes reflecting the city lights below. Behind him, his helicopter gleamed in the moonlight.

"Go and awaken them," he said to the pilot. His tone was calm, yet the air rippled faintly—as if the words themselves bent reality.

The pilot's head jerked once. When he spoke, his voice was hollow, mechanical. "Y—yes… Lord."

Without another sound, he entered the helicopter and lifted off, vanishing into the night sky. Zigeyr watched it disappear with quiet satisfaction.

"Ah, Plea…" he murmured, his grin widening. "They do not seem to like Yani much."

...

Near the apartment, there was a small park made for the children's to play. There were 5 children's lying on the ground without any breath. Suddenly, the blood started to flow from all parts of their body as they suddenly come back to life only to scream and die again.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH"
