Chapter 95 - Chapter 94

|3rd POV|

War. War is brewing in the distance, and the people know it. However, the one who experiences firsthand is the people who stay in Crownlands. When they see a new fleet being built in King's Landing, they know war is coming, and they will be the people called to fight in this war.

Stannis looks at the new Royal Fleet with a small hint of pride in his eyes. Robert wants to prepare for war and orders him to prepare for the Royal Fleet.

And he fulfilled his duty. There are two hundred and twenty ships finished being built, including eighty-seven Galleys. This is the biggest fleet ever constructed since the Greyjoy's Rebellion. However, they also need the soldiers who will fight the war.

He looks to the side and says.

"Ser Davos, how is the training?"

To fill their army, Stannis orders Ser Davos and the others to train people in the basics of sailing. Not only that, he also ordered them to train the smallfolk in basic army exercises. They cannot be compared to real soldiers, but it will be good enough.

"They are going smoothly, my lord. The promise of grains as their reward makes them eager to join."

Because of the famine slowly spreading across the Seven Kingdoms, people started to starve, and they were willing to go to war so they could send food back home. There is also the promise of the loot they can get from Fenris when they attack that place. That attracts more smallfolk to join the war.

"Good. Very good. What about my brother? Is he ready?"

Robert has been training and trying to reduce his weight by a few stones for the past couple of weeks. To the surprise of many, Robert is serious in this and manages to reduce his weight by quite a bit.

What the others do not know is that Robert is serious when it comes to war, and when he says that he will reduce his weight for war, he will do it. Will it turn him into his prime form? No, but it helps a little.

"At the moment, King Robert is ordering a new set of armor for this war. It should be done in two weeks, my lord."

"That means he will be ready when the second wave of the fleet starts to set sail."

"Aye. However, are you sure to send all of our ships, my lord? The Solaris Kingdom will attack us, and we don't have any ships to defend our coast."

Stannis releases a sigh and rubs the bridge of his nose before saying.

"You don't need to question them, Ser Davos. The king orders us, and we follow his orders. Nothing more."

"I understand, my lord."

"Good. You may go and continue training the others. We need them to be ready in a week. We will set sail for this so-called Fenris."

"Yes, my lord."

Stannis sees Davos leave him alone on the tower as he looks at the fleet underneath him. Truthfully, he is also worried about the Solaris Kingdom attacking them, but Robert is so eager to wage an all-out war against the Targaryen that he orders an all-out attack against them.

At least, he knows that leaving King's Landing undefended will be a bad idea, so he orders the Redwyne Fleet to defend the Seven Kingdoms. Redwyne House already sends thirty War Galleys to defend the sea while they are away and will notify when there is a movement from the Solaris Kingdom.

However, even after all the preparation, he has a bad feeling regarding this war. The enemies have dragons on their side, and he knows how dragons are the reason why the Seven Kingdoms united under a single banner.

They have already prepared to fight against the dragons by ordering scorpions to be made and mounted on the wall of King's Landing, but he doesn't know if that will be enough.

He shakes his head and decides to put it away for now. At the moment, he has a duty to perform and make sure they reach Fenris and take that land over. They need all the food that the place can produce. They need the secret of the Solarisian people on how to grow plants in that harsh place.

Daenerys looks at the soldiers marching to the ships, and she starts to get worried once again. Her brother will go to war and leave her once again.

At least she will participate in this war, unlike before.

She will not march in attacking the usurper, but she will defend her new home. Her brother will retake their old home, and she will defend their new home from the usurper. Her brother will take Alduin with him, and she will use her children and Alduin's mate to defend their home.

They are not as big and powerful as Alduin, but they are still dragons, and they are deadly.

However, what makes her worried is Melisandre's words before she and her brother departed to the north.

Melisandre said that she received a vision from Lord R'hllor about the incoming invasion. Her words are:

"Black Dragon disguised as Golden Elephant shall come and try to invade the Dragon Lair. They try to take the Golden Dragon's throne."

According to her advisors and teachers, it looks like someone from the Blackfyre Family is still alive and taking over the Golden Company, the Sellsword Company known for their golden banner and the use of elephants.

She knows about the Blackfyre, and she hates them. The ungrateful family wants to take over her family legacy because of their greed. She will defend her land and make sure to show those false Targaryens what it means to face a real dragon.

She shakes her head and walks back to the palace. Her personal servant bows her head and says.

"Do you want to return to your room, Your Highness?"

"No. Take me to the Temple of Fire."

"Of course."

She and the others walk to the temple next to the palace. While the biggest and most grand temple is located in Lunarian City, Celestia City still has a big and grand temple to worship R'hllor, the Lord of Fire and Life.

After a few minutes of walking, she entered the temple, and the priestess immediately let her enter one of the private rooms that only the royal family can enter. She kneels in front of the undying fire in front of her and starts her prayer.

"O Lord of Fire, Light and Life, bless us with your light and give us strength to face the incoming enemies. May your fire be the symbol of wrath for our enemies and your light be the symbol of victory for your followers."

When she opens her eyes, blue fire appears from the undying fire, and it enters her body. She can feel warm energy coursing through her body, and she knows everything is going to be alright.
