A couple of minutes later, Huey's meeting with the Village Head and council finally came to an end.
It wasn't that they had exhausted all there was to discuss — quite the opposite, in fact. The gravity of the situation was so immense it outweighed almost everything else.
Huey had just returned, battered from a devastating battle, and while the Village Head and others knew better than to severely underestimate the monster in human flesh and scales, the Village Head believed Huey still needed time to rest and recuperate.
As well as time for the council to sit with Huey's revelations and gather their thoughts.
There was still much left to discuss, and after that, they would have to decide on what to do — what path forward their next steps would take.
That was why, right now, Huey was crying out and cussing with malice.
"Ow!" Huey cried in pain, glaring daggers at the short, silver-haired lady trying to change his bandages.
