Coming back to the situation at hand, Huey inhaled mildly from his lips without a change nor ripple in his indifferent expression.
"We're doomed." He paused, letting his words sink into the silence, buying just enough time for his listeners to feel a sense of dramatic tension.
"...What?" Until, a small whisper — uncertain who exactly it came from — broke the silence of the chamber shortly.

But despite the vain comments and whispers of the Elders of the council, Huey's casual and vague words couldn't help easily dismissed. If anything, it sounded like the subdued Whispers and comments of the Elders couldn't be believed by themselves.
In the end, there was a string tension formed in the sie, anchored to those who were present.
