The soldiers kept laughing and talking.
They made fun of each other. They showed the pictures of their wives, their daughters, their mothers to their fellow soldiers and they all promised themselves that they would return alive to meet them.
Sera and Hena remained at both sides of Pablo and Pablo let both of them be. He won't steal these moments from the girls. They might get sad or angry and mess up during the war. It's best to keep them satisfied. It wasn't like they were asking for sex before the war.
But Sera surely asked for something after the war.
"If we stay alive at the end of this, let's get married, dear."
Pablo choked on the water he was drinking and all the other soldiers jerked their heads at him.
Hena also looked at him but before she could ask for something as well, Pablo spoke first.
"We will talk about this after the war. You guys carry on."
The soldiers nodded and carried on.
