Claudia Ross stretched lazily and sat up: "Giana, who taught you to speak Chinese so well?"
"It was Daddy."

Louis, clad in a long white robe, walked in.
Walking briskly, he carried an especially dashing air.
"Daddy."
Giana hopped off and ran barefoot, cheerfully towards Louis.
Louis bent down to lift Giana: "Have you forgotten Daddy's words? No disturbing mommy while she is sleeping."
"I haven't forgotten..." Giana pouted, her little mouth expressing grievance: "But mommy has forgotten me."
"It's alright, mommy will remember you soon."
Claudia Ross suddenly understood what Louis was getting at.
She frowned and asked coolly, "You want me to be this child's mommy?"
"You already are his mommy."
Louis set Giana outside, telling him to go play first and come back to find mommy later.
