It was the third day of winter. The air was cold and I could observe snow fall.
Snowfall a phenomenon that never happened in my previous life because I lived in a country where we were closer to the equator than the poles.
We had tropical climate so there was no snowfall.
I had to say it was beautiful.
I quickly freshened up and went down to help the inn as usual.
Today practice was canceled due to urgent work Nara had.
Even Dad and Anna were not in the inn. It was just me, Alice and a few others who volunteered to take care of us.
"Morning Aunty Esther",

"Sup old man",
"Haahhha look at this brat",
I greeted everyone present and went toward Alice.
Suddenly two huge men entered the inn. One was over 50 years old. He held a cane and a cigar in his mouth. He was covered in full white tux. His golden hair and golden eyes gave off a noble Aura.
The man behind was in a full black tux. He wore a mask to cover his face. He had a pretty solid build.
"Hey, I want to meet the boss. Tell Reynolds to come here", the black tux ordered.
"Hello sir, the inn is still closed today. Uncle Reynolds and other elders have gone out on some work, if you want you can-",
SLAP,
The man slapped Alice. The slap was loud.
"I don't need a kid like you to answer me. I asked for Reynolds and I only want him", the man said with extreme arrogance.
My blood was boiling, not only was she just a kid but she is also a lady, these people had no manners and etiquette.
Alice was in a moral dilemma, the hard slap caused her to have a mini panic attack.
Seeing her in distress I quickly ran towards her and caught her.
"Calm down Alice, look at me. It's alright now, it's alright" I said patting her head.
She started crying at my embrace.
I paid no heed to the two nobles in front of me.
Suddenly I heard a reverberating sound in my head,
(DODGE),
Without wasting anytime I quickly put all my strength into my legs and dodged.
The voice was so authoritative that I had no choice but to obey it.
The place where I was standing suddenly erupted into spikes. Spikes which could kill a person instantly.
"You-",
Before I could complete, Aunty Esther quickly appeared behind the black tux and swung her butcher knife diagonally.
The man simply dodged the knife and kicked her gut with his left leg.
Before Aunty could do anything the man's hands pierced her heart instantly killing her.
Just before her death she voiced two words to me,
'J U S T...R U N.'
That's what I did. I grabbed Alice and stared running toward the back exist.
On my way I made sure to make all the tables, stools whatever object present throwing them behind my path to disorient the enemies from chasing us.
I was just about to reach the door when I heard a voice, the white tux guy's voice.
"Bind maximus",
Suddenly something bound me and Alice to the ground.
I was powerless, pathetic and weak.
Tuk,Tuk,Tuk.....
The man slowly walked toward me,
"Due to your idiotic actions I had kill everyone in this room" he uttered.
I shuddered. I slowly looked and saw a pool of blood and corpses placed on top of each other.
I could see everyone I wished today morning, all those smiling faces, all those laughters with them.
"no...no..No.....No....NOOOOOOOO",
"YOU BASTARD, I WILL KILL YOU, I SWEAR I WILL KILL YOU" I uttered in rage.
Rage was blinding me, my eyes were bloodshot. My surroundings were dimming.
(Give me control, you can't win not at your current stage. Give me control, I'll make sure you and your puny friend survive)
A voice echoed in my head. I didn't know what it was but right now, I had no other choice, atleast till Anna or Nara come back I had to fight.
"I.....give....you...contr" before I could finish I felt my conscious fall.

The black tux slowly waked towards the kids,
"My lord, what do we do to these brats??",
"Hmm the girl looks powerful but the boy hmm strange I feel something from the boy too, just kill the boy, let's take the girl"
"Understood my lord",
The man quickly drew out his sickle, but then to his disbelief the boy was nowhere to be seen.
He had broken free from the shackles.
Suddenly sensing something he quickly got on guard.
To his surprise the boy was standing next to that cooks' body collecting her butcher knife.
Suddenly his body twitched and his neck bent down.
The boy's eyes were full white, it looked lifeless.
He disappeared and appeared in front of the black tux.
Using the butcher knife he sidestepped to make himself shallow and swung the knife toward the man's private spot.
The man quickly dodged kicking the boy mid air.
Unbothered, he dug his nails onto his leg and used it as a leverage to reach his thighs.
Once again he aimed at the man's private spot.
"You brat, how dare you",
In anger the man banged the kid to the ground and started to punch him continously.
Despite receiving blows he never loosened his grip on his thighs.
Instead he bit the man's thighs as hard as possible.
When the man struggled in pain, the kid, spun mid air and aimed his knife towards the man's neck.
When he was just close, the kid was blown away by a fist with red Aura covering them.
Right now the kid was in no position to fight.
Both his arms broken. Probably multiple ribs fractured and heavy internal bleeding.
But still he stood up.
He raised his hands and a single chain appeared out of nowhere.
The white tux was alarmed,
Before he could say anything the kid collapsed due to lack of energy and power.
Instead someone else had come to the rescue.
A blue haired woman quickly arrived in front of the kid and fed him a green liquid, she then instantly appeared in front of the young girl and helped her too.
"Haa the ice princess. I was wondering where you were hiding. To think you were seeking refuge in the slums along with that maniac Nara and the shadow lord himself. Hahaha, I wanted to kill the shadow lord today after I heard he was weakened by the curse but seems like he has got a formidable ally." The white tux uttered.
"Reinhardt you bastard, to think you would just invade into others business and kill my customers. You even dared to harm my siblings." Anna then quickly coated her rapier with ice and lunged towards the black tux, before the man could react she sliced through his left arm. She then kicked the man's left leg, imbalanced him and pierced his eyes with her sword.
The man died without much resistance.
"Systema glacies" she uttered.
Suddenly the whole inn turned into an incentive field and the man's body was covered in thick 50 cm ice.
She was going for the kill. Despite knowing that her opponent is far stronger than her.
Suddenly a voice echoed through the door causing the ice to shatter,
"Enough Anna,",
"Shadow hands"
