The two of them strolled along the curb, and Jian Yang went to McDonald's to buy two ice cream cones, holding hands as they ate together.
The sky was very blue, and the sunshine was lovely. This shouldn't be breakup weather, Qin Youxue thought, as something was suddenly pressed into her palm.
She looked down and saw a delicate pink gift box.
"Open it and see," Jian Yang said with a bright smile.
Qin Youxue glanced at him before opening the gift box. Inside was a pair of earrings, crystals arranged to form butterflies poised to take flight, glistening like glass under the sunlight. She was momentarily stunned and exclaimed, "So beautiful."
"As long as you like them,"
Jian Yang let out a sigh of relief and said with a smile.
"But..." Qin Youxue touched her earlobe, which had no piercing. Jian Yang said, "It's okay. I thought they were pretty, so I bought them for you. Just keep them with you; you don't need to wear them."
Qin Youxue put away the gift box and nodded.
