Before the late night, Heather and Yi Yang had been standing outside, keeping watch. Realizing it was getting late, Heather urged him to leave, "I can handle this on my own. You're injured as well. Go put on some medicine and get a good rest at home."
"But—"
"No buts. Go home. Isn't one of me enough?" Heather blinked and said, "Honestly speaking, you being here isn't helping. If something does happen, what can you do to help?"
Yi Yang chuckled, "You never know. If something really happens, at least I can act as a human shield and buy you all a few extra seconds to escape."
"Pfft…" Heather laughed, clearly not taking him seriously. "What do you think this is, a TV series? Heroic sacrifice? Relax, nothing like that will happen. Linyang isn't that chaotic. Go home and rest. I'm here."
Generally speaking, nothing should happen.
Unless…
That man came back.
"Alright, then I'll head back. Miss Hai, you should go inside and rest too. Like you said, it's not that chaotic."
