Chapter 516 - Ch 542 - Sleeping with Dino’s

She called commandingly down the table, her voice cleanly piercing through the noise of the clearing hall. "First Years! This way, please!"

A group of small, terrified-looking first-years with fresh red trim on their robes cautiously walked up to them, huddled closely together like a pack of startled kneazles.

"Did you look that frightened in our first year?" Lucifer asked her, a small, teasing tilt to his lips as he looked down at the tiny newcomers.

"I hope not. We were far too busy flirting, remember?" Hermione responded with a confident smirk, before turning back to the children. "Alright, follow us, please. We will show you one of the many ways to get to Gryffindor Tower."

"See you both later or tomorrow," Harry said to them, offering a tired nod as he and Ron walked off to join the older students heading toward the grand staircase.

Lucifer and Hermione led the first-years through the moving castle, navigating doorways hidden behind sliding wooden panels and hanging tapestries. They climbed more stone staircases, the little ones yawning heavily and dragging their feet, completely exhausted from the long journey. Both of the Prefects were quietly thankful they managed to miss an encounter with 'Peeves the Poltergeist' along the route.

Finally, they reached the large portrait hole, where the Fat Lady promptly asked, "Password?"

"The password for the first couple of weeks is, 'Mimbulus Mimbletonia.' Don't forget it, or you won't be allowed entry," Lucifer said clearly to the kids, ensuring they took note of the strange botanical name. The portrait swung forward, and they all walked into the warm, firelit expanse of the Common Room.

"Boys, your dormitory is up the stairs to the right there," Hermione pointed out efficiently. "Girls, yours is up the other staircase."

"Any questions?" Lucifer asked, crossing his arms.

One of them, a small girl near the front, timidly raised her hand. "Why do you have those wings?"

Lucifer blinked, his voice temporarily caught in his throat. "I—"

"Because he's an angel, my angel," Hermione cut in, smiling warmly at the girl. A faint tint of pink colored her cheeks, and she shot a soft look at Lucifer, who offered a quiet, highly appreciative glance in return.

"Wow! This place is incredible!" another boy chimed in, staring at the tapestries.

Hermione, however, wasn't amused by him calling the tower incredible, shaking her head at the distraction. "Anymore questions?"

"Why do your eyes look red?" a young boy asked, directing his question squarely to Lucifer again.

"...I colored them myself," he said dryly.

Hermione let out a soft huff and actually smacked him right in the chest. "He's not being serious. He got those eyes from the day he was created in heaven," she informed the group with absolute certainty.

Lucifer felt a profound wave of warmth washed through his chest, thoroughly glad he had chosen her above everyone else in this mortal world.

"Are you two together?" A random first-year asked curiously.

"Yes, I am dating Lucifer," Hermione declared proudly, her chin lifting. "He is the most beautiful and wonderful person I have ever met. I thought no one could beat my grad—"

"Alright, I think it's time everyone goes to bed, classes start early tomorrow," Lucifer interrupted smoothly, cutting off her escalating praise before it could completely embarrass him. The first-years quickly split off, scurrying up their appropriate staircases. He turned to Hermione, his expression softening completely. "Thank you, really. For a second there, I didn't know how to handle the questions."

"It's alright," She said, stepping closer into his personal space. Her eyes sparkled with a playful, dangerous light in the dim firelight. "You wanna risk tonight?"

"You mean getting fucked in the ar—"

"Lucifer!" Hermione scolded playfully, her cheeks turning bright red as she stifled a giggle, trying her hardest to sound like a stern Prefect. "Be nice!"

"I was being nice," Lucifer said with a raised brow and a playful smile. "I could use far more descriptive words if you'd like..."

"You're such a prat," She drawled with an amused sigh, and leaned in, wrapping her arms loosely around his neck for a quick snog. "My prat," She added in a low, teasing whisper, their lips just millimeters apart.

"Eugh!!!" A stray first-year boy who had forgotten his bag suddenly ran away screaming down the corridor.

"Oh no, I think we completely traumatized him!" Hermione gasped, a little wave of guilt washing over her as she pulled back.

Lucifer sighed, shaking his head with a chuckle, and turned toward the boys' staircase.

The closer he got to his shared dormitory room, the louder a fierce slinging match became. The shouting echoed down the stone hall, sounding an awful lot like a yelling Irish madman and an equally furious Harry.

Lucifer walked straight into the room and saw Ron actively throttling Seamus Finnigan near the four-poster beds. "Hey, hey!" he barked, sprinting over to them, grabbing Ron's robes and pulling him off Seamus with total, effortless ease.

He planted his tall frame directly in between them. "What the hell is going on here?!"

"Harry was having a go at my mother!" Seamus yelled, his voice thick as he clutched a bloody, badly broken nose.

"Only because she started believing every damn word the Daily Prophet writes about me!" Harry fired back, his face twisted in pure fury as he stood by his trunk.

Lucifer rolled his eyes. He whipped out his wand and aimed it straight at Seamus' face. The Irish boy promptly freaked out, flinching away, but he simply muttered, "Episkey." A sharp 'crack' echoed through the room as the nose snapped perfectly back into place, causing him to recoil in surprise.

"Why would your mother believe the Daily Prophet anyway? They've been documented to exaggerate stories, or even outright mislead people for clicks," Lucifer reasoned calmly.

"That was just Rita Skeeter, wasn't it?" Seamus fired back defensively. "She's not been writing for them for a while now, has she? The rest of the paper is proper news!"

Lucifer said absolutely nothing, keeping his face perfectly blank, which Seamus mistakenly took as him gaining the upper hand in the conversation.

"Exactly! It wasn't the Prophet, it was just Skeeter making things up before!"

"Enough!" he interrupted. The power behind his voice caused the magic in the room to spike, and surrounding candles instantly flickered out into darkness for a terrifying moment before snapping back to life.

"You don't want to share a dormitory with Harry? Be my absolute guest. The Forbidden Forest is directly back out that window!" Lucifer snapped, pointing a firm finger toward the glass. "I'll even happily throw all of your stuff out into the dirt for you. Have fun yelling at the dinosaurs!"

With a sudden flash of his red eyes, a heavy wave of telekinetic force gripped Seamus' entire section of the room. All of the Irish boy's trunks, books, and robes instantly levitated high into the air, hovering dangerously near the ceiling.

"Mate, what the hell are you doing?!" Seamus yelled, staring up at his floating belongings in complete shock.

"I'm not your mate," Lucifer said coldly, keeping the luggage perfectly suspended. "Now, do you want to share the Forbidden Forest with the dinosaurs, or do you want to share a dormitory with Harry like a civilized wizard?"

Seamus looked thoroughly angry, his face turning red, but he wisely backed down. He aggressively pulled his wand, repairing his torn bed hangings with a sharp flick before disappearing completely behind them.

Lucifer smoothly dropped his hand, letting all of Seamus' gear fly back to their proper places on the floor with a neat click. "Everyone, fucking bed, now."

Dean Thomas and Neville Longbottom scrambled into their respective beds without a single shred of complaint. But before Neville pulled his covers up, he looked across the room at Harry. "For what it's worth, my grandma believes you, Harry. As do I."

"Thanks, Neville, really," Harry said, a visible wave of relief washing over his tired face. He then turned his green eyes toward Lucifer. "Thanks, mate."

"Yeah," was all Lucifer answered. He slid into his own four-poster bed, pulling the crimson hangings shut and letting out a heavy sigh as he realized this was going to be an incredibly long, taxing school year.

Downstairs in the quiet common room, Hermione was left standing by the dying embers of the fire. Making a swift, stubborn decision, she waited until the room was completely empty before slipping past the staircases, intent on visiting her own shared bed with Lucifer to find some 'much-needed' solace before the storm of the term truly began.

Lucifer was already making his way towards the private quarters, with a 'Disillusionment Charm' cast, after his incident with Seamus. Standing at the door, he removed the charm and removed the bottomless pouch from his right pocket.

"What are you hiding?" She was afraid.

"Just a couple of things I thought you might like." He saw her dumb expression on turning around and smirked. "I get the impression my gifts make you apprehensive."

"Maybe a little," She said, eyeing the pouch warily, "How did you know I was behind you?"

"I just know. So, what do you have in store for me tonight, pet? I've already showered and eaten, so I'm yours for the night."

Hermione smiled as they approached the door. She blocked his way, wanting to change first. "Give me five minutes, okay?"

He rolled his eyes. "Very well, but I'm coming in whether you're ready or not."

"I'll call you as soon as I'm done."

"Fine. Hurry."

Hermione dashed in and closed the door in his face, smiling at his glare.
