Chapter 12 - [12] Longinus For You! Longinus For You! Longinus For Everyone!

-3rd POV-

It was a cold day in Germany, especially in the orphanage. It's been a few days already since Otto left for his 'trip'.

Despite it being a few days, the group has already begun to miss him. After all, Otto is the center of the group, the glue that keeps things together.

"*Sigh*, I wonder when Otto is coming back," Said Himeko with a sad sigh.

"I'm sure he'll be back soon," Dulio replied as he tried to comfort Himeko, due to his kind personality.

"Yes, he should be back soon, but we shouldn't be standing around all day waiting for him," Welt chipped in as he pushed up his glasses.

Since it was winter break, they should have been training more often than usual. But due to Otto's absences, their progress has significantly gone down.

Otto was to them a friend and role model. So his not being here really put down their productivity.

"Yes, let's go and do our best~" said Lavinia as she cheered her friend on.

They all nodded as they got up from the dinner table ready to train hard.

As they moved through the halls and were ready to leave the building, Lavinia opened the door. But to her surprise, Otto was standing there with five other random kids.

"Otto!" Yelled Lavinia as she hugged Otto, full of happiness to see him again.

"H-hey, Lavinia, be careful!" Warned Otto as Lavinia's hug tackled him; the force and speed with which she hugged him almost knocked the passed-out Valerie, who was on his back.

The rest of the group, hearing this, rushed towards him with happy smiles as they greeted him back.

"Alright, guys, get off me for a bit. I need to talk with Ms. Azza," said Otto as they backed off from him, giving him and the children space to breathe.

"I'm glad you're back, Otto. But who are these kids?" Asked Welt. He was glad that his best friend had finally returned, but he was curious as to who he brought.

Knowing him, they should all probably wield Longinus-class sacred gears like them.

At this point, Welt wasn't surprised that Otto brought people who had the ability to kill gods

'As expected of my best friend,' thought Welt with a hint of smugness.

"They're our newest addition~" Otto replied with a smile. A smile Welt knew too well.

"Anyways, I'll see you guys later after I talk with Ms. Azza," Said Otto as he led the kids to her office. It kind of looked like a mommy goose leading her kids.

The others said goodbye as they went to train in their secret spot in the nearby forest.

-Back to Otto-

As he finally reached Azza's office, he knocked on the door.

"Enter," said a gentle voice that was inside the room.

Otto twisted the handle and opened the door.

There she was, sipping tea casually as she continued to work on paperwork of the orphanage.

Azza looked up from her desk and said to Otto "Otto, my child, you have returned!" she said with a gentle smile.

"It also seems like you've brought some new family?" She asked as she saw the four children next to him.

"Yup, I picked them up. I thought that they would be happy with the family we have her in the orphanage," Said Otto with a "Smile".

"... Alright, boy, lay it on me." She went straight to the point; she already knew that these children wouldn't be normal. In fact, she already sensed that two of them were Vampires, or more specifically, Damphirs.

"Alright. Alright. Let me introduce you to Gasper Vladi." Introduced Otto.

"N-nice to meet you, I-I am Gasper." Gasper introduced himself with a stutter.

"He's a bit shy, but that's part of his charm," Said Otto

"Well, it's nice to meet you, Gasper. I've never seen a girl as cute as you," Complimented Azza. Of course, there are also Himeko and Laviana, but they are more on the beautiful child spectrum rather than cute like Gasper.

"He's a boy..." Otto corrected Azza with a wry smile.

"Oh?...oh. I see, my apologies, Gasper." Azza was quite surprised that Gasper was a boy; well, nobody would blame her since he was wearing girl's clothes due to Valerie dressing him up like a girl.

"I-It's Fine, it happens quite often," He said to Azza. It was the truth, though. However, they made fun of him, looking like a girl rather than a boy, back in the Tepes castle.

"Next is Valerie Tepes, a Damphir like Gasper...she's in a coma right now due to her Sacred Gear." Otto explained as he showed the girl riding on his back, eyes closed, as she was in a deep slumber.

"I see, let's put her in a comfortable room soon," said Azza. She didn't know what sacred gear would make their host go into a coma, but she would interrogate Otto later.

...wait, did he say Tepes?

Azza felt a huge headache coming already.

Annihilation Maker, Incinerate Anthem, Unknown Dictator, and even the top second Longinus Zenith Tempest.

All these children were enchanted and discovered by the boy in front of her, if she could even call him a boy in the first place, considering his intelligence.

All the people that he surrounds himself with should be high profile, considering their Gears, but here he was, collecting them like Pokémon cards.

Even Azza herself was afraid of Otto's charisma and eye for talent.

"Anyways, next is Cao Cao, I found him when I was in China. His parents sold him to a slave merchant who worked under a devil. After I killed them, I brought him back with us," Otto introduced once again.

Azza gazed at the small, blue-haired boy in rags who was holding on to the hem of Otto's shirt. Azza was amazed by how Otto managed to get him so close to himself.

Azza guessed that he was maybe one or two years younger than Otto, who was 13.

"Fufu~ nice to meet you, Cao Cao," she said as she smiled at the shy boy.

But suddenly, her smile faltered slightly. 'Did he just say that he found him in China???'

He didn't respond but nodded to her, still hiding behind his new big brother.

Cao Cao has already begun to consider him as family and a person he relies on emotionally.

Just as Otto wanted to.

"And what about the other one?" Asked Azza as she looked at the white-haired Kid at his other side, hiding behind Otto, she could feel that he was also not human, like Valerie and Gasper.

He acted just like Cao Cao as he held Otto's shirt, not wanting to let go. There was also this incredibly skinny girl, her body covered in bruises and dirt, who was wearing dirty rags.

"Ah! I met them recently when I was coming back home." When Otto finished his stuff, he immediately used the ticket's second teleportation to come back home, though he teleported to their training ground instead of the orphanage, since he didn't want to appear in front of a kid by accident, exposing them to the magical world.

As he began to walk to the orphanage, he stumbled upon him by chance in an alley.

Otto was completely surprised, but then he was happy.

Happy that-

"His name is Vali, Vali Lucifer," Otto revealed.

This time, Azza's calm expression broke as she dropped the cup of tea that was in her hand.

"L-Lucifer!?" She was shocked that the boy in front of him was none other than the grandson of the single direct descendant of the original Lucifer and Lilith, Rizevim Livan Lucifer.

-Otto POV-

That's right, boys and girls. Through sheer fucking luck, I managed to meet Vali Lucifer, the wielder of Longinus-class sacred gear [Divine Dividing], and Cao Cao, Wielder of [True Longinus].

It really was a stroke of luck if I do say so myself.

Let me run things down for you.

Vali was the grandson of Rizevim Lucifer and the son of Razevan Lucifer and a human woman, making Vali a half-breed.

Guess how it went with a guy who is a pure blood supremacist?

Anyways, he eventually found out that besides inheriting the power of the original Lucifer, he also had the [Divine Dividing].

Razevan felt that his dick was shorter than his own child's(Figuratively), creating a sense of inferiority complex towards Valis's potential.

Bastard began to abuse him because of that, physically. But despite that, he was loved by his human mother, who treated his wounds each time Razevan abused Vali.

Not that she could do much against the son of one of the three still living super devils, which means he is incredibly strong.

Well, at one point, it seemed like he couldn't take it anymore and ran away from home before soon being found by Azazel, the leader of the Fallen Angel faction and brother of Ms. Azza.

Although this time around, shit changed.

Instead of Azazel finding Vali, I did.

It was a bit hard to get him to open up to me despite not knowing each other, but thanks to my age of 13, only a year older than him, and the fact that I was an orphan.

I managed to connect with him emotionally, and in the end, I brought him with me just as I did with Cao Cao.

Emotional bait.

But in the end, it benefits everyone, so no harm done.

Well, I did steal Azazel's future adopted son and Longinus wielder, but I couldn't care less about him, to be honest.

And then there was the girl. She was...interesting to say the least.

I found her just the same way I found Vali, and exactly after I found him.

I could see it in her eyes; she had lost all hope. They were...how can I describe them?

Empty? Yes, I believe that was the word.

As if all she was living for was the moment of her inevitable death, snowflake upon snowflake piling up above her fragile body as it froze to death in the winter snow.

And of course, because I was so kind-hearted, I brought her with me. She gave no resistance. But to my surprise, when I pulled her out, I immediately recognized her despite her...terrible condition.

Kafka, that was the name.

But it wasn't just the fact that she was this world's HSR counterpart like Himeko. No, no, no, my dear friends. After some further inspection, I realized she carried something VERY important.

It was POTENTIAL!

Anyway, after the introduction, I showed the kids to their rooms.

Valerie and Gasper are sharing one room, and Cao Cao and Vali will be sharing one room as well.

They both wanted to live in my room, but Welt took that spot already.

And Kafka, for now, was still by my side. Oddly enough, she didn't let go of my sleeve, no matter how hard I tried to pry her hand.

After I let them go to their rooms, I went back to Azzas office with Kafka. I didn't tell her a lot about the kids since I thought it would be burdensome to talk in full detail about their past in front of them.

"So, now that they are gone, I want to know more about them," Asked Ms. Azza. Kafka was still in the room, so we just put some earplugs on her as she stared blankly at Azza.

"Alright, so Gasper has a sacred gear called [Forbidden Balor], which lets him stop time. He doesn't have it under control right now, but I'll help him," I told her about Gasper first, since his sacred gear isn't the craziest of the other ones.

Ha! Never thought that a kid with the ability to stop time would be the least of her problems.

"I see..." was all she said, but I could see a small bead of sweat coming down from her wrist. She's nervous about what else I have to say~ hehehe.

"Valerie, as I'm sure you already know, is part of the Tepes family. And thanks to her being a Damphir, she can wield her sacred gear [Sephiroth Graal]"

She sucked in a cold breath at the mention of another Longinus user joining the orphanage.

"I see..." She repeated again like a broken record.

Hehe~ She's trying her best to stay calm; it's almost cute.

"And then Vali Lucifer. Like you, though, he is the son of Razevan and grandson of Rizevim. He was abused by the bastard to the point that Vali ran away. I just by chance managed to run into him."

"Yeah, I thought so," she said with a sigh, taking in that the grandson of the leader of the pure blood devil faction was no joke after all.

"Oh yeah, he also holds the power of the original Lucifer and has [Divine Dividing] because he's a half breed~ Teehe, forgot to mention that part~" I delayed that part of the information to see her reaction, she probably thought that his being Rizevims' grandson was her only worry.

As soon as I said those words, I could see her rubbing the bridge of her nose; a huge headache seemed to have dug its way into her head.

"... honestly, I'm afraid to ask about the last boy, Cao Cao, and the girl. For all I know, he could be the wielder of the [True Longinus], hahahahaha!" she laughed as if it was a joke.

I only gave her a 'smile' as her laughter slowly broke into a nervous laugh.

"He doesn't have it...right? We already have Dulio with [Zenith Tempest]! The second top Longinus..." Azza's question sounded more like she was begging to be wrong.

I continued to smile sweetly at her as I spoke, "Cao Cao, Wielder of the [True Longinus]"

At the queue, Azza almost fainted, but managed to catch herself at the last second. Beads of cold sweat ran down her forehead.

"O-Otto, my boy..." She pleaded as she looked over to Kafka.

I bet she's thinking something along the lines of "It couldn't be, right? not another Longinus!"

I could only smile at her, and then look to my left at Kafka, "And then Kafka, wielder of...a relic that holds god!"

Those words caused Ms. Azza to faint on the spot; luckily, she was sitting on her chair.

Hehehe~ The last part was a lie, but it sure as hell was worth telling. Her reactions are everything~

I wonder what type of Herrscher I can turn Vali and Kafka into?

I'm curious~
