"Dodge, dodge, DODGE!"
Shouting at the same time as he keeps striking the occasional lightning bolt flying toward them with Steel Fang, surprisingly easily, Inuyasha's eyes open wide when dozens of lightning bolts form an inescapable "birdcage" around both of them.
Lightning could be seen below, above, and also to the sides; there was no viable place to escape or flee through. That from his current point of view, a man riding a giant bird, although as everyone knows that bird is actually Asahiko transformed.
"Shut up, I know what I'm doing, Inuyasha!
Canceling the transformation when he sees out of the corner of his eye how the "birdcage" begins to close around them, he grabs his white-haired companion by the arm and lets gravity do its work, making them both fall downward at full speed.
Because of that they slipped out of the "birdcage" without any problems, since that trap was the size of the golden bird, making it impossible for it to catch two humans. A colander with holes that are far too large.
"We're going to die!"
"If you don't stop moving, then we really will!"
Using the force of the fall to rotate his body in the air, Asahiko does not hesitate to use Inuyasha's body as a shield when he sees a lightning bolt flying in their direction, making the latter let out a growl.
Fortunately for both him and Asahiko, Inuyasha's body is super durable and his outfit, similar to a red overall, is too, so he only ends up with his hair standing on end after the impact.
"Grr... Damn it..."
"Be quiet for a second, the clouds are coming."
"And that's why I-"
Being silenced upon entering the thick gray clouds covering the middle area of the mountain, naturally formed and not created by Ryukotsusei, the traces of Inuyasha along with Asahiko vanish instantly.
The latter is seen from the point of view of the enormous dragon that "flies" through the upper skies, forcing him to narrow his great tyrannical eyes and open his monstrous mouth.
The wild lightning, the wind, and the powerful rain all rush at full speed into Ryukotsusei's mouth, creating a "super breath" attack that he furiously directs toward the clouds below.
*¡Booooom!*
The gray clouds resembling an endless sea, which cover the middle area of the mountain and have nothing to do with those in the upper area, evaporate the instant they are struck.
But obviously that is not where it all ends; instead, the attack continues onward and simply creates total destruction in the lower area, the base of the mountain where the rocky pillars stand, painting the entire world a deep blue.
"Where are they... WHERE ARE THEY HIDING!"
Shouting furiously toward the skies upon noticing the lack of response from his enemies, Ryukotsusei, completely blinded by his desire for revenge, begins descending from the heavens with his serpentine body, casting a monstrous shadow over the now visible surface.
"What did I tell you, Inuyasha?"
"Alright, alright, you were right. But how are we going to fight him on the ground?"
"And how were we going to do it in the sky? We couldn't even use his body as a platform anymore after-"
"I'm serious!"
"... Sorry, I thought you were being sarcastic, since plans aren't really your thing and. Ah, never mind, now that he's on the ground let's beat him until he dies."
Giving up on trying to explain his train of thought, Asahiko scratches his completely messy golden hair and then points toward the swords, using the simplest but most useful language when it comes to Inuyasha.
By the way, these two had been hidden the entire time inside a mini cave on the mountainside, watching with interest as Ryukotsusei created a disaster of enormous proportions.
"Hahaha, I like the sound of that!"
"Tsk, troglodyte."
"What did you just call me?!"
"Nothing important, Inuyasha. Oh, one question, now that you have better control over Steel Fang, can you properly use its techniques now?"
Pointing toward the sword that had just passed beside his face, Asahiko easily redirects the conversation to another topic, mainly because it interests Inuyasha.
"Huh? Ah, yeah, hahaha! Look how easily it moves now."
"... I don't know whether to be surprised because Totosai's idea worked, in a totally unexpected way, or make fun of you for only realizing it now."
"A sword is part of a master swordsman's body, obviously I wasn't going to feel its-"
"Sesshōmaru?"
"Grr, yeah, just like-"
"No, idiot, Sesshōmaru is seriously over there in front."
Speaking those words with almost palpable disbelief, Asahiko looks at Inuyasha and then Inuyasha looks at Asahiko, leaving both of them with great existential doubts.
…Somewhere else…
Outside that cave where both the foolish Inuyasha and Asahiko are hiding, at the base of the mountain, Ryukotsusei can be seen causing a disaster worthy of a Godzilla movie.
The rocky pillars that rise dozens of meters toward the cloudy sky are knocked down, flattening the surroundings of the mountain and raising an immense cloud of dust, all made easier by the dragon's enormous body.
"Come out already!"
Momentarily twisting his serpentine neck as if it were a whip, Ryukotsusei releases a weak breath of lightning toward the surroundings, destroying several more pillars and carving deep scars into the terrain, all without stopping the chaos caused by his enormous body.
Apparently he has not gotten over the offenses committed against him, the attempt to strike the human mask between his horns and stab his heart, more or less explaining the reason for the senseless destruction caused by the dragon.
"Can you be quiet? You're surprisingly noisy and I'm trying to think."
"You... You're that filthy Hanyo's brother and Inu no Taisho's other son!"
"Oh, so you're Ryukotsusei? I can't deny I expected more, although looking at that form, you're just a failure."
Mercilessly mocking the "failure" before him, a being who could not form a humanoid body despite being a Daiyōkai, Sesshōmaru calmly unsheathes the sword called Tokijin and kicks off the rocky surface of the pillar he is standing on.
That sends him flying like a bullet at full speed, reaching the vicinity of Ryukotsusei's face in an instant, a place he then takes advantage of to make several slashes through the air and create an impassable "net" of bluish energy.
That bluish "net" is formed entirely by Sesshōmaru's Ken'atsu/sword aura, which shoots rapidly toward the dragon's face, striking his invulnerable scales and releasing a deep blue flash.
*Booom*
When the explosion subsides and the bluish flash finally disappears completely, what remains is Ryukotsusei in perfect condition, who unexpectedly already has his breath fully charged.
"DISAPPEAR!"
Relentlessly releasing his breath toward Sesshōmaru, who remains close to him and still in the air, the dragon narrows his eyes sadistically when that vermin disappears, but he quickly notices that... Something had grabbed onto his horn!
That "something" is unexpectedly the piece of furry cloth that always hangs from Sesshōmaru's shoulder, which is now being used as a rope for him to swing on, thus avoiding that breath of lightning.
"¡Tokijin!"
Lifting the "seal" of pure will that he maintains over the sword, Sesshōmaru allows a certain amount of Tokijin's negative energy to flow freely, unleashing a Ken'atsu/sword aura even more devastating than the previous one.
*Booooom*
Striking Ryukotsusei's head with such force that even some of his scales crack, Sesshōmaru once again uses his "rope" to swing onto the top of the dragon's head, and once there he brings his sword into a thrusting stance.
It was a single precise attack that Sesshōmaru made with his sword, aiming perfectly at the cracks between the dragon's shattered scales, causing the latter to let out a monstrous scream and go completely berserk.
"¡AAAHH!"
Throwing his enormous body to the ground because of the pain he suffered, Ryukotsusei tries by every possible means to throw Sesshōmaru off his back, all without noticing that the latter had already left a long time ago.
So where was he now? On top of one of the last pillars still standing, coldly watching the dragon writhing below and... Talking to no one?
"I thought you were never going to come out of your den, Asahiko. And where did that useless Inuyasha disappear to?"
"Hahaha, just as surprised as I am to see that you can notice my presence~. As for that idiot Inuyasha... I think he went to meet up with his group?"
Appearing beside Sesshōmaru after a spatial distortion, despite the slight fear he has of him, Asahiko acts carefree and even looks around at the surroundings.
"Tsk, so useless he can't even-"
"Shut up, I'm right here, Sesshōmaru! That idiot left me down there and I had to climb up by force!"
His voice arrives first and then his head, which barely manages to appear above the edge of the pillar. Inuyasha makes one last effort and finally manages to stand beside the other two.
"I suppose you're not as useless as I thought, Inuyasha. At least you can understand priorities with that useless mindset of yours."
"Grr, damn you..."
"Enough, you two, you'll be able to kill each other after we finish off that dragon."
Stepping between both brothers while waving his hands, Asahiko forces a smile and then points toward Ryukotsusei, who had finally finished his tantrum.
The dragon was furious, his tyrannical eyes fixed on the trio and his breath of lightning charging, clearly seeking to eradicate all of them together.
…Off-scene…
Looking at the duo of brothers with long white hair, legendary swords, and similar features, Asahiko strokes his chin for a moment and then touches his golden hair.
"Umm... What do you think, should I dye my hair white or not?"
"Why the hell would you do that, Asahiko?!"
"With Inuyasha's outfit? An extremely pointless action."
Understanding Asahiko's train of thought more easily than Inuyasha, even though those two have known each other for longer, Sesshōmaru points out another of the discordant things.
"Yeah... I'll let my hair grow long and white, we'll change Inuyasha's clothes to something more presentable, and then we'll form the deadly trio!"
"Why don't we change your clothes to look like mine instead?!"
"... Ignorant." x2
Shaking their heads, two of the three young men, and with disgusted expressions at such an idea, finally choose the first idea by vote.
