XADEN'S POV
"Then if it bothers you so fucking much why don't you take the pack for yourself!"
Erik stared at him.
For a few seconds, there was complete silence between them.
Xaden went back to eating.
Erik shook his head in disbelief.
"You really don't care anymore, do you?"
Xaden ignored him.
"The pack is falling apart."
"Then fix it."
"You are the Alpha."
"I don't want to be."
Erik's jaw tightened.
"And what exactly do you want?"
Xaden finally looked up at him.
"My son."
Erik sighed heavily.
"You keep saying that as if it changes anything."
"It changes everything."
Xaden dropped the piece of meat onto the plate.
For the first time, the anger in his eyes was replaced by something else.
Desperation.
"Jessica said she knows where he is."
"I know."
"So take me to her."
Erik nodded.
"That was the plan."
Xaden stood up.
He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and walked out of the kitchen.
Erik followed closely behind.
