Xaden held the rims of the balcony aggressively as he looked down to watch who had appeared before his gate.
Was he seeing well?
Had he perhaps truly gone mad.
He had killed her.
Pushed her into a place where no wood could ever survive.
His own sister.
The bitch!
"Erik-
"Yes." Erik nodded in agreement without waiting to hear what Xaden had to say. "You're seeing right. She is standing there. I can feel her wolf."
Xaden took in very deep breath.
"Why isn't she dead?" Xaden asked.
She stood in the center of all the guards gathered around her like a halo.
"I don't know." Erik shook his head.
To think that he had trusted her.
Believed her lies when all this while she had been evil itself.
His own flesh and blood.
Why the fuck was she not dead?
Why did the dead not stay dead.
She slowly looked up from where she stood and they made eye contact.
She seemed terrified to even look at him.
But she didn't fool him.
