The prince was inside his room when his personal servant came to inform him that princess Emily's personal maid is been flogged outside.
"What did she do that she is been flogged"
"Umm my prince she stole the princess necklace"
"How did they…..where are they"
"My prince they are in the verdict area"
"Is she been flogged now"
"Yes my prince"
He stood up and ran to where they were,he had been with her today so how come did they claim she stole the necklace.
"My prince please wait…"

While Eleanor was been dragged by the guards she kept crying and the cry rang in the king's ear which felt like he was been connected to her.
"Please your majesty I didn't steal the necklace"
He looked at her and saw she was innocent but he couldn't do anything since he hands was tied.
He prayed for someone to come save her but who can save her when she was just a maid.
She was dragged to the verdict area where she was supposed to be flogged,she was so tired since she has been flogged since.
While they were arranging things for her to be flogged,a shadow kept lurking around that vicinity.
"Please am innocent"she cried and a tear fell on the mere ground and immediately a very hard wind started blowing.
"What is happening here"cried princess Emily since she has been standing close to verdict ground.
The shadow lurking behind smirked since everywhere had turned dark.the king heard it inside the court and ran out only to see everywhere dark.
Inside the wind and darkness the princess still insisted she be fl9gged let everyone step inside.
"My princess…..the…wind"
"Shut up and follow her now or you want to die here"she shouted back at him
One of the guards raised the rod to flog her when they heard a voice
"Stop"
Everyone turned and saw the prince "prince James what are you doing here can't you see the wind and everywhere had turned dark"
The king was happy that at least someone came to save the girl since he couldn't do anything to save her.
Prince James did not respond to princess Emily and faced the king instead "your majesty she is not guilty I have been with her since today"
"are you sure of what you are saying prince James"

"Loosen her and tell the physician to tend to her every wound"staring at one of the maids
Emily who had been on the floor felt like her head was spinning she could not see brightly again due to the wind howling around her and also the darkness.
When she looked behind her she saw the same shadow that usually lurk around her and follow her but no one wants to believe her.
The maid went near her and helped her to stand up but she was not steady and the maids didn't want to help their follow maid when she was supposed to be punished for stealing from the soon-to-be-crown princess.
"Please…can..you help…me"she said to them but they behaved like they didn't hear her and dragged her roughly instead
Passing by the prince it felt like she was losing her consciousness when she fell into darkness by fainting when the prince caught her.
"Are you okay,call the physician now"he said to no one and ran towards his room
Prince Emily was mad,angry and crazy "how could prince James carry her when he has never touched me or come close to me"she thought in her mind
"Call the physician Emily now"the king said to her
"Yes your majesty"
Everyone left the verdict ground and the wind stopped which also caused the day to return to the way it was.
The shadow lurking around that corner came out and stood on the verdict ground"it looks like I have to claim you soon"smiling and saying to no one
Prince James carried Eleanor to his room and dropped her on the bed like a feather due to the scratches on her body from the dragging she got from the guards.
"Has anyone called the physician yet"
"Yes my dear"said the king tapping on the prince's shoulder.
He was also concerned about the girl that has the features of his wife and someone he cared for.for the fist time in forever after the death of his wife.
Princess Emily came inside his room and saw Eleanor on the bed,she molded her hands into balls.
"Emily where is the physician"
"He is on the way your majesty"
The physician came afterwards and attended to Eleanor in her sleep while everyone watched including the king.
"We need to talk princess Emily can you follow me"said the king
"Yes your majesty"
Prince James tended and cared for Eleanor,he has loved the girl right from the very first day he set his eyes on her which was not right since he was a crown prince.
She was not even a noble,then how was he going to get married to her.

"She is innocent"

"Don't,I don't want to hear anything from you I know that with the way the prince is behaving towards her you might think he loves her but he is only helping her do not takes too far"

While stepping out he called her which she turned and faced him.
"You should lead by an example you would be the next queen of this kingdom don't go around causing chaos"

While she was leaving the courtroom she met her father on the way "what have you been doing Emily"

"Shut up I told you not to go around causing trouble but you wouldn't listen to me"

She followed her dad and they went to a secluded area where nobody was going to see them but what they didn't know was that someone was following them.
