"If everyone has no objections, I will preside over this meeting of the Luminous Alliance. We won't elaborate on the conflicts between the two Great Worlds, as I'm sure everyone has already heard. Our main focus will be on two things: how to resist external threats and how to prevent internal risks."
Charles' voice is always as soothing as a spring breeze, and he began to detail the plan. Clearly, mutants have done their homework on this matter too. The Andromeda Galaxy has been developed for a long time, and although considerable achievements have been made, the birth of four Omega-level young mutants has made the previously vast galaxy feel small. If we don't find them a bigger stage, when these four turn into rebellious teenagers, our cosmos will suffer.
"I believe we should attack the enemy's weakness with our strength," Charles continued, "Batman is very smart and skilled at strategy, but his physical condition is that of an ordinary person, and he can't perform space combat without external aids. Therefore, our focus should be on military confrontation, especially in outer space combat, which can significantly weaken Batman's capabilities."
"I have a question," Stark spoke up, "In the Justice League, only Batman isn't good at space combat, and other members' brute force is formidable, especially Superman. How do we handle him?"
"To my knowledge, Superman needs the yellow sun to exert his full power, so we shouldn't fight them in the Solar System, but rather find a place with only a red giant star or no stars at all. That way, even if they can fly back to the Solar System to recharge, it will take a long time, and they can't consistently replenish their power."
"Wonder Woman is also a big problem," Stark continued, "Although her divine power is limited, many Batmans across the universes have acquired significant energy. With such short preparation time, they can't convert this energy into a powerful weapon, so the best way is to give it to Wonder Woman. Cutting off her power won't be easy."
"Asgard will handle all the God Clan," Loki spoke, "Although fighting the Three Great Empires last time gave them a thrill, the single-entity capabilities of the Three Great Empires are really poor, and the robotic feel doesn't match the visceral punch of carbon-based life forms. They've long wanted to test themselves against experts."
Stark nodded and continued, "That's good, but I'm still a bit concerned. If other universes' Thors also come, will it cause any trouble on your side?"
"Relax, since the last battle, Odin didn't return to Vanaheim but stayed. No Thor dares act rashly in front of the Father of All Gods. And with Odin, Batman's side can't just play a Zeus card."
"A showdown between two Divine Kings could be quite a spectacle," Shiller chuckled, "Zeus might not show up, but Shazam surely will. Lightning versus lightning, who will win?"
"Can Zeus' divine power be transmitted across universes to Shazam?" Stark asked surprisedly.
"Isn't the Energy Exchange System open now? They're the visiting team, let them exchange some, no big deal, and it's only fair. Of course, whether Zeus wants to give that much in one go isn't our concern."
"What about The Flash?" Stark asked, "Can his Divine Speed power be used here? Does it have such a powerful effect as time reversal?"
"Exact data isn't clear yet," Shiller shook his head, "Once the battle actually starts, the administrators from both sides will have to be present. They should install capability plugins for our universe so everyone's abilities can be utilized, and any issues can be resolved promptly."
Loki chuckled, "It seems like a battle between superheroes on both sides, but it's actually a race against time for the programmers on each side. With so much data exchange, we don't know if our universe can hold up."
"If it can't, we'll reboot and get compensations and reparations, so we won't lose out," Shiller shrugged.
"Alright, let me think. Green Lantern can also bring over energy, his ability is not so outstanding, but it's comprehensive."
"The Green Lantern energy's mimicry ability is strong, and it can create ships and such, so we can engage in interstellar warfare with them," Shiller said, "We'll deploy our ships, and they'll have to respond accordingly. But building them on the spot is impossible, and transporting them is cumbersome, using Green Lantern energy for simulation is best as it can effectively deplete their Green Lantern energy."
"Have our battleships been deployed?" Stark asked.
"Yes, the latest batch of escort fleets has been expanded to around 120 escort ships, all now docked at Neptune Star Port. If necessary, they can be dispatched at any time. Of course, there are also some ships from the Three Great Empires, which can be repaired enough to be used. Recruitment of space workers has been smooth too, since ordinary people's physical fitness is much stronger – they can endure vacuum environments for several minutes, so space combat isn't an issue."
"Let me think, who else is in the Justice League... Oh, that guy called Ron, what's his ability again?"
"Mind Reading," Charles smiled.
Stark immediately fell silent, paused, and then hesitantly spoke, "You better not use the Cerebro, if you really get the other side into trouble, Batman will definitely settle the score."
"I know what I'm doing, don't worry," Charles said.
"Of course you know what you're doing, but Magneto might not," Stark pursed his lips, "You must remind him not to lose his mind."
"The Magneto of our universe is already quite stable," Charles sighed, "My headache is figuring out how to guard against those from other universes, which is the main content of the second part of internal prevention."
"What do you plan to do?" Loki asked.
Charles shook his head and didn't elaborate. However, he has always been reliable on major issues and definitely wouldn't foul up on such a critical matter, so no one pressed further, assuming he had his reasons.
"Cyborg is a hacker; JARVIS should be able to handle him. However, some universes' Cyborgs come with Mother Boxes, and those are pretty powerful, so we need to be extra careful," Shiller said.
"What about the mages?" Loki said, "I remember there's a Mage Alliance over there too, right? Although they're quite poor, there should be a few good ones. And they don't need to prepare any energy, they can just kill in the universe; they're worth paying attention to as well."
"Pay special attention to that Constantine," Stark said with a grit tooth, "Don't let minors onto the battlefield. Especially good-looking minors, they should never even get close to the enemy base... even if they're of age!"
Constantine in the Battleworld is actually quite rare and elusive; it seems only Shiller and Stark have had interactions with him, and others didn't know why Stark reacted this way.
"Zatanna's Antilanguage Magic certainly can't be used; this simplifies matters a lot," Shiller said. His tone was confident, but he didn't explain much more. People just understood that Antilanguage Magic couldn't be some cosmos-setting thing; otherwise, it could be modified by the admin. Since it can't be used, this means it's not under the admin's jurisdiction.
Shiller wasn't sure if the admin could load this plugin, but without the Inverted Man as Zatanna's power source, even with a plugin, there wouldn't be any energy, like a computer with a program but no power, it's useless.
As for releasing the Inverted Man for this battle, it's not just a question of whether Batman would agree; even Zatanna herself wouldn't agree. Even if not for the universe's peace, she surely wouldn't want her creditor chasing her.
"The Batman Family will also help," Shiller continued, "Most of the Robins aren't much of a threat. Spider-Man can spar with them a bit. But there's someone else to watch out for."
"Who?"
"Darkseid."
"Darkseid? Isn't he Batman's enemy?" Stark asked, somewhat surprised.
"But they aren't entirely incapable of working together. For instance, Batman in the Prime Universe once worked with Darkseid to take Oa Star. Maybe this time, Darkseid will want to get involved; he's not that easy to deal with."
"Who is he exactly?" Stark asked with a frown. He'd only heard the name; not only had he never seen him, but he also didn't know his story.
"You know Thanos, right? Not the Thanos of our universe, but the Evil Titan from another universe," Shiller explained, "Darkseid is much stronger than Thanos. On Apocalypse, he's almost invincible, and he commands an endless army of Demon-like soldiers. Even if he doesn't bring them, he himself is a formidable force."
"Leave it to the mutants," Charles said, "Wanda needs to take care of the children, so she'll stay and protect Earth this time. But Polaris, Quicksilver, and the patients have plenty of battle experience, along with Legion and his multiple personalities. If necessary, Franklin of the future is also an option."
"That might be overkill," Shiller shook his head, "Unless Darkseid really plans to bring Apocalypse over, the young mutants should be able to hold him off. At worst, we can call in our Interstellar Security Advisor—oh, Thanos is now a councilor in the Intergalactic Alliance Department."
"It seems like on our own, we can withstand their offensive. Although having help from other Multiverse superheroes would make it easier, the difference lies in the cost," Charles said.
"That's exactly my point," Charles began, "How much we contribute and how much the Multiverse contributes is negotiable. We don't need the Multiverse's full support, and the less we ask for, the more they owe us. But if we ask for too little, we bear the cost ourselves, and that's a loss. We need to find a balance to maximize our benefits."
"Leave professional matters to professionals," Shiller stood up from his chair, "S.H.I.E.L.D. has already notified us of the global Extraordinary Power conference; we all must attend. Experts will conduct comprehensive data analysis, we only need to listen."
Leaving the Luminous Alliance base, shortly thereafter the notification for the conference came, located at the UN Security Council meeting hall. Due to the unstoppable trend of globalization, this place had become the most bustling department, mediating various conflicts daily, including overseeing global extraordinary powers.
The last time Earth played pool in the cosmos, leaders from ordinary society gathered here to study and make decisions. This invasion of the world was evidently the same. As Shiller and Stark walked in one after the other, passing civilians didn't show any panic; they were discussing in low voices, appearing accustomed to it.
"Thanks to you, they've completely desensitized to this kind of thing," Stark looked back at the civilians brushing past him, "Even things like the Multiverse and another Great World don't surprise them; they accept it without a ripple."
"This isn't exactly unusual. However, their lack of panic regarding other-world invasions is indeed commendable," Shiller nodded, not stingy with his praise.
