Chapter 4889 - Chapter 3954: Nameless Bat (87)

"There is one logic that is easiest to understand," Batwoman continued, "It must be unable to win over a certain red-haired woman; therefore, it chooses to cast its net wide and catch more fish, searching for replacements in the Multiverse."

Many Batmen were momentarily stunned. They were contemplating how Batwoman came to the conclusion of "unable to win over."

Then they realized it indeed makes sense. Because electronic lifeforms are often rigid, they basically have no capacity for sudden whims, nor do they have aesthetics. Moreover, red hair isn't exactly in line with popular aesthetics—it can't be some random day they suddenly feel, "I should date a red-haired woman." This red-haired woman must have a prototype.

Since there is a prototype, why not choose the prototype?

Electronic lifeforms, when achieving a certain goal, will definitely choose the fastest, most efficient route. If they can obtain the prototype, they wouldn't choose anyone else, let alone search the universe for red-haired women. It's only when they cannot obtain the prototype that they are compelled to find replacements.

So why can't it obtain the prototype? This is very worth pondering. Batman even thinks this might be a key clue.

"If the red-haired woman is its Creator, then she is basically unlikely to be dead," Batwoman said, "This electronic lifeform is already powerful enough to stir up trouble in all Multiverses, even splitting into different threads, facing different Batmen, without being at a disadvantage. I don't believe it couldn't protect its Creator."

"Then perhaps its Creator doesn't like it? Doesn't allow it to protect?"

"Then it also wouldn't fall for its Creator, wouldn't choose her as its object of emotional awakening," Batwoman said.

Everyone looked at Mechanical Batman. Mechanical Batman pondered a while and said, "Perhaps so. If the Creator holds little significance in its life, it should not choose her as its selection standard. If the Creator even desires to destroy it, then the Creator would become a part of the contradiction and be updated by it. It would certainly not look for someone related to the contradiction any further."

"Since she's not dead, then there's only one possibility left: that the other party is unwilling to be with it, and it cannot force it," Batwoman said, "Considering electronic lifeforms lack morals and have not yet emotionally awakened, unable to force means it's not a conscience revelation, but rather an incapability."

Lego Batman was a bit dizzy from the deductions and said, "So how does that prove the red-haired woman isn't its Creator?"

"Because someone it can't even force has no reason to create it," Batwoman said.

The other Batmen quickly understood. The logic is actually quite simple to articulate: a person creating electronic life is basically not just out of pure interest, as stated previously, it's not just about having technology; it also requires luck and coincidence, and tremendous effort to await a miracle.

Creating electronic life certainly means needing it to do something, or something that only it can do. For instance, Mechanical Batman initially created this artificial intelligence to revive Alfred to continue assisting him; Stark created Jarvis needing an electronic butler; Ant-Man invented Ultron to aid his research. Most others are similar.

It's not hard to see, whether it's Batman, Iron Man, or Ant-Man, although they have strong abilities in some aspects, they are also limited by their human bodies leading to limited energy, so they create artificial intelligence to help themselves. Asgard's technology isn't weak and they contend with wars annually, requiring mobilization and coordination of troops, yet there's no word of Odin creating artificial intelligence to aid himself.

Then back to the point, this electronic lifeform can now battle across universes, even traversing tens of universes, splitting into dozens of threads, each individually facing Batman without falling behind. Such an electronic lifeform can coerce a person effortlessly, right?

But it hasn't succeeded, unable to handle its ideal figure, and can only search throughout the universe for replacements. Doesn't this precisely reveal that the person it can't handle is very strong, and strong in an all-encompassing, multi-faceted way?

Batman is already skilled as a Hexagonal Warrior, capable of individually facing many Batmen, yet cannot handle one ideal figure. Doesn't this indicate this red-haired woman is stronger than Batman?

And for someone so strong, what's the need to create electronic life? The electronic life she created can't even handle her, naturally wouldn't be able to assist her, and certainly wouldn't be created just for viewing, right?

Of course, some might think it's purely a hobby. But besides those few infamous universe troublemakers, who would have such a peculiar hobby and sustained dedication; if it truly were interest, why would she reject the electronic life's romantic overtures?

If she's already invested so much effort, for such a long time to create it, it means this interest is not just large; then this electronic life's confession would be timely, right? If the two are a perfect match, there wouldn't be so much trouble.

Having completed the chain of reasoning, Primary Universe Batman immediately realized the key clue. He said, "An incredibly strong red-haired woman."

"Indeed, and almost without weakness."

"Rendering such a powerful electronic life useless."

"And certainly stronger than those it seeks now."

Big Adventure Batman remarked, and the other Batmen turned to him. Big Adventure Batman continued, "Its picking and choosing hasn't led to any satisfaction, proving it believes these people don't match what it desires."

The other Batmen nodded one after another, all agreeing it makes sense. Actually, by now, the range could be narrowed down significantly. Mechanical Batman still spoke up, "If it's not The Creator, then why does it hold special significance to them?"

Everyone looked at him. Mechanical Batman said, "Don't you think it's because this red-haired woman is strong enough?"

"Why not?"

"Of course not! If it just wanted to find someone strong, there are plenty in the cosmos. Not to mention, those Angels in Heaven, aren't they all omniscient and omnipotent? And those Concept Gods in the universe, even God—I'm saying, even this Batman." Mechanical Batman pointed at Primary Universe Batman, "The two of them have already clashed, so how come the electronic lifeform hasn't fallen for him?"

"Uh..."

The Batmen were also a bit at a loss for words. They all knew that Primary Universe Batman was the most special one among them, currently can be said to be the strongest, even though he might not excel in one particular area compared to a certain Batman, he is balanced, generally scoring about 95 in each subject. Speaking of strength, God would have to call him God.

Moreover, among so many Batmen, it's not unprecedented to have a perfect score of 100 in a certain subject. If the electronic lifeform truly admired the strong, then it should indeed fall in love with Batman. If that doesn't work, there are so many Supermen anyway, is it that Silver Superman has grown old or that Golden Superman can't wield his blade anymore?

"Makes sense," Arkham Batman nodded in agreement, "It's indeed unlikely to be because of combat prowess. So, what exactly is it due to?"

"I have a thought," Doomsday Batman suddenly spoke, "Could it be because there's already a successful case?"

"You mean..."

"This red-haired woman once inspired an electronic lifeform, giving it genuine emotions. And now, this electronic lifeform invading our multiverse sees this scenario and thinks it should find a red-haired one too."

"Absolutely absurd." Batwoman commented, "Someone inspired another's emotions, maybe because of her beautiful soul, maybe because of her beautiful appearance, but it certainly can't be because she's red-haired, can it? Is this electronic lifeform really that bad at focusing on the key points?"

"I think perhaps not," Doomsday Batman shook his head, "The key lies not in the red-haired woman herself, but the electronic lifeform that was inspired by her. Don't you think there's a possibility that the electronic lifeform invading our multiverse was thoroughly beaten by this already emotional electronic lifeform, leaving it with a psychological shadow, forcing it to find a lover by comparison?"

"Too ridiculous." Arkham Batman said.

"But it's indeed possible," Mechanical Batman said. Everyone looked at him, and he continued, "Let me put it another way: This guy once encountered an opponent much stronger than itself, got thoroughly defeated after a battle, and then rigorously compared their conditions, only to discover it surpassed the opponent in every way, except the only variable being the red-haired woman. So it's exploring, trying to find out what the red-haired woman did to its opponent to make it so strong."

"That sounds more plausible. But there's still one problem," Batwoman pointed out, "If we assume this red-haired woman as the prototype, why would it fail to deal with the prototype from one universe and not move on to others? Don't parallel universes all have counterparts?"

"That would prove it can't deal with the counterparts in any parallel universe." Primary Universe Batman said, "And now we have a new clue, which is that this red-haired woman is strong in every multiverse."

"Do you mean it tried?" Batwoman pondered and said, "If it's true like you said, it attempted but failed, unable to handle any of them. I assume the temperament of this red-haired lady is the average for humans, yet she's so strong, so why isn't there any commotion in the universe now?"

The other Batmen thought similarly. If the electronic lifeform experimented on the counterparts of the red-haired woman in every universe, meaning it harassed this person in every universe, and this red-haired woman is incredibly strong, wouldn't they unite and hunt it down?

"This suggests that the red-haired woman probably isn't from our big world," Primary Universe Batman said, "Most likely from a neighboring world. And this electronic lifeform is already being hunted over there, forcing it to flee here, frantically trying to enhance its own strength, not to dominate the universe, but just to avoid being wiped out by that group of red-haired women."

Big Adventure Batman couldn't help but feel schadenfreude. He shook his head and lamented, "What an unlucky fellow."

They could already picture the whole process in their minds. Essentially, there was an electronic lifeform, one day it suddenly encountered an opponent, got thoroughly beaten by them, then went home for retrospection, thinking it's not inferior to the opponent, just that the opponent had a good partner, and it believed it could do the same, so it went to seek out the opponent's partner, only to be beaten by this partner too.

Realizing it's not viable in this universe, it went to other universes to find the partner's counterparts, only to discover it's futile, being beaten every time, angering everyone, irritating them to the point where they pursued it within the multiverse, unable to stay in that world anymorely forced to flee to this world.

But it's probably worried about those women coming over to annihilate it, can only frantically seek substitutes here to elevate its strength by one level. To improve efficiency, must cast a wide net and catch many fish, dividing into many threads to stir trouble in every multiverse.

And after all this reasoning, the identity of this mysterious red-haired woman is already obvious.

The Batmen looked at each other. Big Adventure Batman sighed softly and said, "I'll say three, two, one, and we'll all say her name together. Three, two, one..."

"Scarlet Witch Wanda!"
