The situation is incredibly bizarre in that both Hinata and Satsuki glance at each other for a long time. They saw in each other's eyes a confusion as well as disgust they felt towards the 'butterfly' and the dark cocoon.
Naruto was oblivious of their reaction not only because he didn't pay them any attention but also because he believed that they were unable to see the Cursed Spirit in the first place.
This oversight is something that will bring him a pleasant surprise a few moments from now.
The butterflies seemed to detect Naruto's intention and immediately made their way towards him with the intent of killing Naruto.
Naruto ignores the butterflies and focuses his attention on the dark cocoon.
Before the butterflies even got closer, they suddenly crushed inwardly.
Seeing the fate of the butterflies widen Hinata's and Satsuki's eyes, but their surprise wasn't done yet as they noticed that once the butterflies died, they turned to dust before disappearing for good.
The two girls are unable to find the logic behind the death of the butterflies or, more specifically, unable to think of any reason why their corpses suddenly vanish into thin air.
Naruto appeared at the top of the dark cocoon and had a thoughtful expression on his face.
'I didn't expect to see a Cursed Womb who was already at Special Grade. It really makes one wonder how strong this cursed spirit will be once it matures, Naruto thought inwardly.
While Naruto wanted to know how strong this Special Grade is once it fully matured, if he really did that, he would definitely receive an earful from the higher-ups.
At the same time, it also made Naruto realize the main reason why he was sent here by the higher-ups. It was obvious from the fact that they know the cruelty Gato and his henchmen did in the Land of Wave, causing the birth of a Special Grade Cursed Spirit.
If it's any other Jujutsu Sorcerers deployed, they will without a doubt have zero chances of completing the mission unless a Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer is called.
But the only Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer that is currently available is Naruto, which is considered a rare thing.
It should be known that out of all the Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerers in the Jujutsu Society, Naruto was known to be the busiest of them all since he possessed higher responsibility than other Special Grades.
He was the one responsible for killing most of the 1st Grade and Special Grade Cursed. Not only was he the person responsible for killing all the Cursed Spirits in the Land of Fire, but he was also the one that the other Jujutsu Sorcerers had to rely on in the other nations in the Elemental Nation if a suspected Special Grade Cursed Spirit appeared.
'I really need to control myself for something I find interesting.' Naruto slightly shakes his head.
The dark cocoon seemed to notice the intention of Naruto and started to shake itself, yet before it could fully make a proper move, it suddenly cut into multiple pieces.
The dark cocoon was cut into pieces until it became nothing but dust that slowly vanished into the thin air.
Naruto slowly fell to the ground while at the same time seeing the reaction of Hinata and Satsuki. Their expression caused Naruto's eyes to slightly widen, and a smile slowly appeared on his face.
This smile attracts Satsuki's and Hinata's attention, and all the hairs on their bodies start to stand up all of a sudden.
"So both of you see Cursed Spirit, huh?" Naruto whispers, but due to the silence within the forest, the two girls are able to hear Naruto.
'Cursed Spirit? 'Hinata and Satsuki thought in unison.
Naruto didn't focus much attention on the two girls. While it was interesting to know that his teammates are able to see the cursed spirit, it doesn't mean he had to inform them about the information surrounding the Jujutsu Society.
Naruto vanishes into the thin air, leaving the two confused girls more confused than they already are.
After staring at the previous location of the dark cocoon for more than 10 minutes, the two girls decide to return back to the bridges.
While they are running back to the bridge, at the back of their minds they are thinking of doing research on the cursed spirit once they return back to the Village Hidden in the Leaf.
This was especially true for Hinata, who had somewhat heard the term "cursed spirit" in the past and from her own mother, nonetheless.
After returning back to the bridge, Satsuki and Hinata were unable to find Zabuza and Haku in the area, and they already had a rough idea where they were.
At the same time they also saw Inari rallying with other people in the village, holding various things that they clearly planned to use as weapons, but later they learned the fate of Gato and his men.
Some were filled with happiness after learning of Gato's downfall, especially the people who lost their loved ones from Gato's iron rules, but at the same time, terror struck them, especially after the brutal outcome of their deaths.
Tazuna quickly tries to cheer up everyone about the death of their dictator and announces a festival this night, not only as the result of Gato's downfall but also for the near completion of the bridge project.
They only need 4 days to fully finish building the bridge, and it will be shorter if other villagers help the project, which everyone unanimously agrees with.
While Hinata and Satsuki are happy to learn this, they are confused by the fact that Naruto wasn't on the bridge even though the latter was the first one to leave the forest.
Fugaku didn't ask the two girls about where they went, especially after seeing the confusion in their faces.
The two girls try to hide it, but with his experience, it was very easy to notice. In fact, Tazuna and Tsunami were able to notice this but didn't voice out their concern.
They also notice the fact that Naruto is missing, but they didn't ask them since they still fear Naruto after seeing what he previously did. This is especially true for Tazuna.
When the night came, the festival officially started, and Team 13—except Naruto, who hasn't made an appearance after he went missing in the forest—arrived.
The Fugaku, Satsuki, and Hinata slowly had fun interacting with the villagers, yet at the back of their minds they were all thinking of Naruto.
The next 2 days.
The completion of the bridge was far faster than anyone realized, and the probable reason behind it was because of the death of Gato and the freedom the people in the Land of Wave felt after hearing of his demise, which made their work faster and more efficient.
Now the time has come for Team 13 to leave the Land of Waves. They already completed their mission and had to inform the hokage about the result.
Right now they are standing at the end of the bridge with all of the villagers watching the ninja leaving.
"Words can't express our gratitude," Tazuna said and fell to his knees. "Thank you so much for helping our nation."
"We just do what the mission entails; no need to thank us," Fugaku responds calmly while trying to help Tazuna stand up.
In fact, he was embarrassed to even say that they helped the Land of Waves since the result was due to Naruto's whims.
Fugaku wouldn't be sure if he could complete the mission that was given, especially if he had to fight Miguel alongside Zabuza.
While he didn't know Miguel's capabilities, the fact that he managed to leave the area without him noticing and at the same time gained Naruto's recognition means Miguel wasn't someone they could think lightly of.
"We will be leaving now," Fugaku added.
"Goodbye!" All the villagers shouted as the group slowly walked away and traversed back to the Leaf.
"So..." Tazuna said, attracting everyone's attention. "What should we name the bridge?" Tazuna asked in a loud voice.
"How about... The Thirteen's Crossing?" Tsunami suggests.
"Why choose that name?" One of the female villagers who is near Tsunami asks in curiosity.
"It's because Team 13 are the people who help our nation. Isn't it natural for us to use their team as a name for the bridge, which symbolizes the fact that we are free from Gato's rule?" Tsunami explains.
"It's indeed a great name." Tazuna nodded and stared at everyone.
"From now on the bridge will be named The Thirteen's Crossing," Tazuna yelled out loud while the villagers accepted the name and cheered.
The team at this moment was clueless about the fact that their team was used as a basis for the name for the bridge, but even if they knew, they wouldn't complain about it. In fact, one might say they were satisfied with it, as getting one team's name on a bridge of another nation was considered an honor.
