Xavier stood on top of the fallen Cerberus, his body trembling as he tried to catch his breath, Xavier still couldn't believe what had happened.
His sword slipped from his hand and clattered to the floor.
He could barely feel his arms anymore.
Smoke rose from the burns across his body, and blood dripped from his wounds. His [Regeneration] was still working perfectly, but the time he spent close to the Cerberus was too much for his Mana cost to handle.
His throat was dry, every swallow was painful, but none mattered as he had won. He had beaten all ten floors.
For the first time since he had entered, there was no growl, no footsteps, no screams, no claws scraping against stone.
Just silence. He looked down at the Cerberus one last time, then stumbled forward. His legs gave out, and he fell to the ground but his back didn't touch the ground as the dark mist caught him halfway and placed him gently on the ground.
