May settles in happily, clutching her two dolls, having changed into her nightclothes and nestled into bed.
I settle down on the bed next to her, tucking her under the blankets. Taffy is next to her. Her other dolls are...somewhere. Perhaps in the wagon. That's for the best - it would be cluttered if she had all of them at once.
Perhaps it's a bit of spoiling to be giving May so many dolls, but then again, when I was a child in my previous lives I had all sorts of toys. Little dolls and figurines aren't unreasonable for May to have.
If anything, once all these crises pass, I assume Lucas will start giving her far more.
Though it's hard to imagine this little sweet girl could ever end up growing up spoiled. If it's possible, Lucas will probably find a way.
Perhaps I should say something to him about it...?
