Luna was called many things growing up. Wacky, strange, weird, a crazy girl but the name that stuck was simply Loony. She was often called Looney Lovegood instead of Luna Lovegood. A name which she didn't really care about. Luna was always a lovely little lady, full of excitement and wonder, with a very dreamy type of voice that many would find very soothing with eyes that seemed to look into nothing and everything at the same time.
At the age of seven she lost her mother in a magical accident due to her mom messing with a strange artifact in her capacity as an unspeakable. She watched her mother die before her very eyes and since her father Xenophilius Lovegood spent all his time focusing on his newspaper the Quibbler in an effort to distance himself from his grief, he could not be there entirely for little Luna, not in a meaningful way.
Though one way which did bring them closer was their search for various magical beasts many of which many people thought were imaginary and did not truly exist, such as Wrackspurts, Crumple-Horned Snorkacks and Nargles to name a few but Luna and her father were convinced were just waiting to be found.
Luna knew many things, a lot of things that people call her loony for. However, what many people did not know is in fact that she was a seer, always has been from birth but was amplified due to the accident with her mother she saw.
She saw the world in a new light, she saw things that people couldn't see, things that would happen in the future, things that had happen in the past, things that were slightly out of phase for normal people.
During her fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft of Wizardry, in which she was a Ravenclaw like here parents; she and some of the members of Dumbledore's army, such as Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Ginny Weasley and Neville Longbottom whom she called her friends were in the Department of Mysteries deep inside the Ministry of Magic.
They were specifically in the death room where the veil of the death was, it was called that because anyone who steps through the veil dies and never returns and has been used for a execution station for years. The D.A. or Dumbledore's army were following Harry Potter because he was convinced that his godfather Sirius Black (whose was secretly the famous singer Stubby Boardman) was being held here and tortured and even with protests from Hermione Granger about it clearly being a trap they followed Harry anyways. Luna however followed because she saw that she would. While she didn't see what happens when she got there she knew she would be there and thus chose to go.
They were currently fighting the Death Eaters who were followers of Voldemort. During the fight, in which Luna held her own against much more experienced wizards and witches. What she didn't know what from the viewpoint of the Death Eaters that Luna was a nightmare to fight against as not only did she seem to dance and twirl while fighting and in the process dodge spells but was able to successfully duel three Death Eaters at the same time, she also used both common spells and obscure spells that she learned from her mothers journals as well as self study.
Throughout the fight she could have sworn she saw something while looking at the veil. Unlike with her normal visions and Seer abilities this time was different, this time it was if whisper of knowledge and information was guiding her towards the veil.
So while the fight was progressing, she disengaged her three Death Eaters to their glee and casually walked through the volley of spells cast by both Dumbledore's army the Order of the Phoenix and the Death Eaters. No spell was hitting her, which was odd since Death Eaters usually go after the innocent and she by far the most innocent and easy target there according her herself and other member of the DA and Order.
She just casually walked over to the veil and looked at it and noticed that there were various symbols on it, symbols that she didn't recognize. They were words but she didn't recognize them from any of her rune classes. So she looked through her site and listened closely to the whisper of knowledge she has been hearing and knew what she had to do. She pressed various symbols on archway of the veil symbols that she had no idea what they did. She only knew that she had to press them. Once she pressed them, she smiled her dreamy smile and walk through not bothering to listen to the screams of Harry Potter.
Falling through the veil was a weird experience for Luna. It wasn't a valley of lights nor was it a shroud of darkness, it just wasn't anything. She went through the veil after hearing Harry's voice and then met the ground. She fell right on her face on the ground.
"That wasn't very nice, was it?" Luna grumbled as she got up and wiped the dust off of her clothes and looked around to what seemed to be a mostly empty room. But it wasn't very magical or very fancy. However, in the center of the room was a tank of some sort.
Inside the tank was full of water and a very curious creature. some sort of snake with a large sack or maybe a womb attacked to her, this she guessed as a womb was attached to a tube that brought tinnier snakes from her to outside the room. As Luna looked at this creature she saw something as a vision and spoke.
"Would you like to come with me? My name is Luna Lovegood." As she spoke, she removed the top of the lid with a simple leviosa spell.
The creature having just barely looked at her separated from the sack and inched up towards this strange human, Luna having already seen what would happen put her face above the tank opening and opened her mouth.
This caused the creature to swim and leap into Luna's mouth entering the inside and attached to her spine, brain and nervous system. Once attached Luna sensed that whatever this creature was, it was dying and if she didn't do something she might die with it. Having bugged Madam Pomphrey enough to teach her some healing spells, she used all she could think of to help this creature. After using all her healing spells multiple times, she felt that creature was no longer dying.
*Thank you, my child, you have saved me from this hell I was forced to do. I hope you were serious when you wanted to help me. If not, I apologize for blending with you. *
The sound of a woman voice in Luna's head was weird but not unpleasant.
*Can you hear me? Wow this is weird but nice. Yes, I saw what would happen and let it. I am a seer so I can see the future I knew you would blend with me but not much else. Can you explain what you are? Oh, I am Luna by the way Luna Lovegood.*

*Tok'ra... is that's what's your species is called? Are you perhaps related to the Crumple-Horned Snorkack? * Luna asks.
*I an unfamiliar with that creature but from what I am seeing in your surface memories then no relation but to answer your other question then yes, it is. Originally, I was known as a Goa'uld. However, I did not like how they were treating hosts or rather people as a whole. So I broke off roughly two millennia ago and created my own faction called the Tok'ra.
All of my children are Tok'ra and we have been fighting the Goa'uld for a very long time. I don't know how long it's been, but I was captured by Ra and sealed in a jar for betraying him. These people here in this facility, freed me from my jar however, they controlled me and forced me to produce young in order for them to create a drug... a so called miracle cure. This drug increases their physique and immune system. I do not enjoy being here and forced to breed children who only die shortly after, so I thank you very much for saving me. *

No longer decided to just speak in her head Luna decided to talk aloud. "Yes, pretty much I can use magic to do various things. I've set up various charms and wards to keep people away and also for people not to notice us. I can also use it for defensive or offensive stuff but I'm only a fourth year in my school so it could be done better."
(What Luna fails to realize that automatically setting up wards and various concealment charms like she did when first landing is not something a normal 4th years should be able to do).

"Yes, well again what now? Eventually people might get passed my charms depending on their technology."
*Now we should go to the to the Chappa'ai... in your language I guess Stargate is better; it can take us from planet to planet. *
"Oh, yes. Luna said excitedly. "I went through some sort of archway that brought me here."
*I'll have to look through your memories later. *
"Well, we should be able to get through to this Stargate, I have cast a disillusionment charm on myself but if that fails then I can always stun them. Let's escape!" Luna declares as she begins to skip out the room.
