Yue Xuexia felt she had lost a soul. Her father's last words fell into her ringing ears like a wind. She couldn't understand a word, maybe she was too shocked to even register what she had heard. Like her ears, her mind starts ringing as if everything in this world had been broken before her eyes.
She lost the strength on her knees and fell on the ground kneeling. The strong scent of blood lingers and her sight blurred with her confused mind. All she could hear was her erratic breathing and the sound of her heartbeat which seemed to be out of control before but now slowly calming down.
The fall grazed her knees but she didn't care at all. Such small pain, cannot be noticed with how his whole body is slowly turning numb. She was at a loss as she felt the body of her father in her arms at a slow pace yet gradually it turned colder with each passing second.
