{Hiruzen pov}

--------------------

"Y-you want to do what!? Are you mad! After what happened this night you want to leave! The village needs you now more than ever, my boy!" He shouted while looking at his former replacements concerned face.

"I understand that Hiruzen, but you know as well as i that it's not safe for Naruto to remain here! This is the only chance we have to disappear! Besides... word of our fabricated death has already spread far by now... no doubt the other nations will be emboldened by this. I wish it didn't have to be this way but we can't go back now..." Minato namekaze spoke solemnly as he avoided his aging gaze.

"And what about your other child! You're just going to leave him here!? He'll be just as at risk as the rest of you!" Hiruzen retorted referring to minato's oldest son who had only just recently turned 6 years old.

"He... he will be fine. The Ninetails is what the masked man is after, not my bloodline. If Houzu comes along he'll only be in constant danger with no way to truly defend himself!" Minato said, but to the old veteran it sounded as though the blonde was trying to convince himself rather than him that it was the right thing to do.

'This isn't just about him...' in his mind Hiruzen thought back to the many meetings with his perverted students. But one stuck out the most... the obsession with a prophecy foretold by the great sage of Mount Myoboku. A child who one day bring peace to the shinobi world.

In his long life Hiruzen had learned take heed the words of such foretold future from those who claimed they could perceive it. Many he'd known were either far gone mad or mere charlatans. Even if this one was true it was unwise to force it into fruition. Nothing good came from trying to control destiny...

For a long minute the old man stayed silent as he heard his students protégé continue to give more justifications for leaving his child behind. But after an hour of deliberation it was clear the young hokage couldn't be convinced. And so he gave in one last time.

"Are you... absolutely sure your doing the right thing..?" Heavily sighing he leaned back in resignation as he retrieved his pipe and lit it to breath in the stress relieving tabacco while turning in his chair to look out the window. It wasn't necessary to look back to see the doubts and hesitation etched within Minato's eyes.

"I... I honestly don't know. I truly don't want to leave him Hiruzen... but... if that is what I must do to ensure our and this village's survival, even if that means making that sacrifice, then i will. That is the duty of a shinobi isn't it? Making sacrifices for the good of the village?"

Hiruzen felt a pang of sorrow thrum within his heart hearing the term. He always hated that word. Sacrifice... Many tonight were dead in the name of this belief. Readily giving their own lives in service of pushing back the unsealed tailed beast and ensuring the wider populous safety. The same is so for all who passed in the 3rd great war. But did that truly justify abandoning one's own son...

No... but what else could be done now... the dice were already rolled... the shogi pieces placed...

"I... I take it he will not be living in the Namekaze residence?" He questioned defeatedly as he sinked deeper into his saet. It felt like he aged ten years after asking that singular question.

With azure eyes that seemed to brighten at this silent acceptance, Minato shook his head and rummaged through his flak jacket to eventually pull out a slip of paper to which he placed before him on the desk.

"Unfortunately it was destroyed in the attempt to rescue naruto... even if it hadn't been it wouldn't be wise. There were many seals and hidden safegaurds to prevent intrusion. Without us he would be locked out or harmed if he tried to enter. However i do still have our old apartment permit and key! Until we return he'll live there while we're away. Before i left to speak with you i had entrusted anbu transporting his things.

'He truly thought this through...' Frowning, Hiruzen turned to face him once more with a stern gaze.

"And what of Houzu himself? He knows this too does he not? No doubt you've told him of this plan..." In saying this the pain in the formers hokages eyes returned.

"Y-yes... i was forced to put him to sleep with a genjutsu when i explained everything. He... didn't take it well. It was horrible Hiruzen... he clung to my leg, begged us not to go. Kushina is with him now. She... she hates me Hiruzen. Hates that we're doing this, that it's necessary. She even threatened to divorse if i hadn't convinced Inoichi to attend the... procedure..."

Hiruzen froze after hearing those last words. "Procedure? What procedure!?" He asked. Unsure If he wanted to hear the answer.

"To... to alter his memories. The villagers believe we're dead... Houzu needs to believe this too..."

No... no... no,no,no,no, NO, NO!

{Minato pov}

...

*SNAP-!*

Looking to the sound of splintering wood he saw the old man had broken his pipe in half with a look of murder in his eyes. "First you want to abandon him. Now you want to alter his memories to think your dead! You disgust me!" Hiruzen yelled in a voice Minato only heard during the 3rd great ninja war.

The man before him was no longer the kind old mentor he knew for so many years that treated him like family. But a veteran of three world wars who looked as if he wanted to burn him alive like so many of his enemies as he watched him stand.

"You have truly disappointed me 'Namekaze'. Never had i thought you would stoop so low like Jiraiya... this was his idea wasn't it! He convinced you to leave him behind! Don't pretend to not know what I'm talking about, I've seen how he looks at Houzu! It's about that damn prophecy he's been deluding your mind with, isn't it! Was he the one who came up with the mind wipe too!?"

"No! This is what we decided! This is the only way to keep us safe from 'him'. I told you how powerful the man behind the mask was! He was able to infiltrate our defenses, killed our anbu detail, got passed the detection barrier kushina personally made, and ripped a portion of the beast out from my wife! The village can't protect us anymore! Jiraiya has a plan to–"

"Jiraiya~ has a plan! That's all i need to hear to know he's involved in this! I should've known this was his! This whole plan sounded too idiotic to be yours! I truly though you knew better Minato, i truly did. But It seems I was mistaken..." With those last words Hiruzen was nearly out of breath, the attack of the ninetails had already tired him to such extremes... yelling like this wasn't helping...

"Minato Namekaze... I, as the recently reinstated Hokage. Permit you a limit of 24 hours to vacate this village. If you are still here after that time, an announcement of your false death will be spread throughout the land of fire. All honors will be taken, all privileges revoked! You are dismissed..." He spoke slowly with a cold voice that caused Minato to take a step back.

"B-but Hiru-"

"I said you are dismissed!"

Knowing there was no chance of talking the old man while he was in this state. He activated his flying raijin and teleported away. In the blink of an eye he appeared in his old apartment living room and immediately saw his wife sitting down with their son in her arms and their newborn swaddled in a personally sewn sling.

"Minato... i need to tell you-" In a quick motion he retrieved the large scroll that was on the couch from where she sat and gently helped her up.

He tried to put on a smile to show he was okay... but seeing her her face shift into one of concern and confusion as she saw the whiteness in his face he didn't even know he bore broke him. With a gentle squeeze he felt her grip his hand to which he began to calm down. Looking into his wife's eyes he could only try again to give a reassuring smile. But he knew she wasn't convinced...

Slowly looking down to admire the somber sleeping form of his eldest son in her arms he couldn't stop from ruffling his shory red hair so much like his mother's. Leaning down he placed his lips upon Houzu's forehead, letting the kiss linger far longer than any that had come before.

"Minato... i need to tell you something..." He could hear the pain in his wife's words as she questioned him again, breaking him out of his sorrow, bring him back to reality. A reality that wasn't the ideal future he had intended to live. To be a father who would be there for his son that he wished he'd had in his own childhood. To leave the son he'd promised to be there a on his own... and for a second time he questioned if what they were doing was worth subjecting him to a life that was a lie.

But, even so... what else could he do now...

Suddenly he was driven out of his melancholy as he felt his wife's hold tighten into a death grip as he stared back into Kushina's tear stricken eyes.

"It's Houzu..." Kushina whimpered. The way her words sounded made his heart feel as though it had plummeted into his gut. The sound so pained and so broken that it was as though she lost a part of her own soul...

"Kushina... what is it..."

{Hiruzen pov}

---------------------

Witnessing the blonde flashing away he slammed a fist against the surface of his desk in blistering anger. Yet as quickly as his rage surfaced he reigned it back deep inside his gut as he took a deep breath.

"Ox... Summon the Yamazaka who performed the procedure on Minato namekaze's oldest child." Hiruzen ordered as an anbu agent hiding in the shadows.

"Yes lord 3rd." With a silent nod from where they kneeled outside and our of sight the agent left to complete their task in a blur of silent imperceptible speed. For some time the old man stared outside to watch the villagers attending to the aftermath of the ninetails attack. Buildings torn from their foundations. Streets overrun with debris. Wounded numbering in the hundreds being attended to by field medics due to the hospital being overworked to the point they needed to form large medical camps outside.

"And the death of my love.. my dear Biwako.." Hiruzen privately mourned. So many years of companionship gone in a single night. They had planned to retire to the outer edge of the village... his love wishing to finally build the ideal garden she could never have in their compound. Now that dream died with her... he knew next to nothing about plants and now that she was gone he had no desire to... that too died with her...

Suddenly the sound of the door to his office opening brought him out of his depression. Inoichi yamanaka... Hiruzen could tell just from the way he carried himself that the man was exausted. The bags under his eyes heavy and filled with exaustion and anxiety...

"Lord third. I was told you wished to see me. How may I be of assistance?" The clan leader bowed only to recieve a scoff in turn.

"You can assist me by canceling the procedure on Minato's first born. If done so already i ask that you undo it." The yamanaka flinched at the thirds tone and order.

"I-i'm afraid that no longer possible. The procedure was already completed before your agent notified me. However.." Inoichi reported bowing his head in order to avoid the third hokages now heated gaze.

"What is it." Hiruzen spoke in a voice that made the clan leader straighten his posture. "If this is about parental consent then do not bother. Undo the process. I do not care if Minato personally ordered you not to!"

"I-I'm afraid I can't! Not because I don't want to, lord. But because... it's impossible to do so now." Inoichi spoke causing the old man to drop the new replacement pipe he retrieved onto his desk and pin the yamanaka to the wall.

"What did you do you fool!" He barked only for the yamanaka to bow his head in Shane.

"It wasn't intentional! Something occurred in his brain. During the process of rummaging through his mind It felt as though some unknown force was trying to push me out. When it suddenly broke away and i was able to reestablish my connection with him all of his memories were gone!" The old man backed away in horror as he heard the news as inoichi fell to his rear in shame.

"Whoever he is now... he is no longer Minato's child." Inoichi said in a way as if he had killed the boy.

"As things stand... Houzu Namekaze may as well no longer exist..."

Hearing this news Hiruzen dropped back in his seat and silently begged any God who would listen for their forgiveness.

'Damb you Minato. Damb you..'

Suddenly the door opened once more to reveal his advisors and old teammates. Koharu was the first to speak as she sat down on the nearest couch within his office.

"We have just heard reports from the anbu declaring Minato has left the village. Along with the jinchuriki. This is... unfortunate." Koharu spoke, irritation and disappoint hinted in her tone.

"Indeed, with our source of military strength gone other village's will soon be emboldened to attack our borders. We must show we are still strong." Homura spoke next. Damb boot licking follower...

Hiruzen could swear he hear the rusted gears grinding in both their heads in thought of what to do next.

"I may have a temporary solution."

Walking out from the shadows came Danzo. Once his closest friend. Now a power hungry snake in the grass. Hiruzen wasn't blind to the subtle attempts his old friend made in order to take the hokage position from him in the past.

However, he never had the heart to put a stop to his antics. As corrupt as danzo was, his root was still necessary to ensure the village's protection.

"What exactly did you have in mind?" He asked as danzo looked at him with his lone squinted eye.

"The 4th eldest child still remains within the village's walls, does he not?"

Upon hearing that singular question a pang of utter guilt formed in his heart...

~ morning ~

Houzu(Isaac) pov:

-------------------------

"Uuuugh... w-where... where am i? My... my face..." Isaac rasped as he felt a hangover starting to creep up in his brain. Getting up from the bed he expected the ever familiar cold carpet floor of his apartment only to fall off and land face first onto a cold tile surface that smelled of chemicals.

As if the pain coursing through his facial features wasn't bad enough...

"Ow! What the Fu@%!" Using his hands he tried to get up only to freeze in shock at their change in size. What was once a fully grown digits that could crack walnuts with ease were now pudgy little grabbers that could barely hold one.

Wait.. where even was he?

Earnestly looking around from where he layed the child perceived the dizzying sight of a place fit for a hospital patient. But... it was far more older in terms of the modern era. Where were the machines? The television?

A clean sanitated space... a bed covered in dull sheets and a i.V drip by its side that had lines still attacked to his miniscule arm. In that moments a feeling of unease and more confusion creeped down his spine as he ran his hands along his body and fa– OOW! GOD DAMMIT!

Flinching horribly in pain he had accidentally ran a hand along his face that was unexpectedly wrapped and covered in gauze.

Pulling his hand away it returned coated in a thin layer of blood..

'What... the.. fuck...' Isaac shuddered backing up against the bed. Out in the corner of his eye he say the stand holding the i.v bags still pumping fluid into his veins.

What he was barely able to make out staring back was what looked to be a mumified child no older than six years old with bright pained blue eyes, long covered spikey unkempt red hair and... severely thin.

It appeared the poor child had been in a coma for quite sometime.

Even with I.V's to sustain him, it was clear he hadn't recieved enough nutrients to maintain his health.

Unsteadily the boy managed to crawl over to the rooms near two large windows and pulled ones curtain aside to see a city, it was... relatively small compared to his own native town. Old architecture as well... but... every building he saw was a mixure of both Japanese and American industrialization.

But... what truly caught his awe and attention was the small mountain face merged with a immensely tall wall that encircled half the entire large settlement. And upon the mountain were... well...

Faces...

"Hoooly, shit..." Isaac's eyes stared on in dumbstruck recognition upon the recognizable monument. The almost made the pain he felt a tad bit more manageable... until it brought him back to reality.

"Aahhh... damn it... where's the call button..."

Turning around to sit down to allow his mind to process the revelation his mind grappled with the facts of what he saw and knew at that moment. The new was roubling... but still impactful and exciting in some way nonetheless.

"Fuck me... I'm... i-im in the Naruto-verse..."

[Ding~!]

"Great~ what now..." He groaned as a violet transparent rectangular screen appeared before the boy.

In that instant isaac felt his soul drop into his gut as his eyes gazed upon the floating transparent screen with terror and hopelessness.

A golden finger.... no... this was a straight up slave contract... not a gift! He couldn't have creatures like that in a chat group!

He wasn't naive to not know who those titles belonged to... they were the Chaos Gods of the Immaterium within the grim dark war torn universe of Warhammer 40k...

Back in the day he read many novels and played the reletive games involving the franchises. They were enjoyable at times, while a majority was unsettling and chill inducing...

Honestly the humanity of that universe was a straight up inspiration of humanity's darker aspects and how we can so easily become the worse parts of ourselfs if the conditions were right. The Chaos God's basically dialed that dark depravity to a straight up from a one to a million...

No one who was on the side of chaos was ever a good person in life, or death in most cases...

Sure there were those who sought out the dark powers in desperation in hopes of a better existence or to aid their people, but... everytime it ended in tragedy. The imperium of man didn't exactly do much to do away with such actions. At least not enough of it.

If anything they encouraged it by how cruely they treated the masses who populate the millions of worlds they possess.

Christ... anyone in that reality would sign a contract if it meant either escaping or destroying those oppressors...

But what he wanted to know more than anything else was... why him? Just what in the hell did he do in his past life to diserve being in the cross hairs of a literal sadistic mon–

...

[ ~♡♡-♡♡~]

...

"Eh?" As isaac saw the newest notification he was immediately taken by surprise as a dark malevolent pool of energy manifested beneath his feet. Without thinking the boy tried his best to back away out of its reach only for countless tendrils to burst forth and ensnare him in a tight bone breaking embrace.

"AAAAAH!!!" Crying out in terror Isaac gripped as though his soul was being branded with each that made contact. As he continued to desperately pry them off and struggled to escape he felt himself begin to sink as though in quicksand. Everything around him seemed to bend, twist and warp in a matter of instances only to revert back as though someone were flickering a light switch. And the pain! It felt thousands of times worse the deeper his body went! As though he tugged in different directions!

He could've sworn he even caught the glimpses of creatures in the shadows of the room at times...Laughing... Hissing... Crying... Cheering... Screaming... gnashing their teeth and licking their chops in ravenous hunger...

...

[ALERT: Unauthorized Warp breach detected! Chat group administrator compromised!]

[Safegaurds initiated!]

...

*Gasp!*

Immediately as the enviorment began to dim and feeling himself nearly submerge, the intrusion and torment vanished, reality returned to normal, and yet... the feeling and the remembrance of it all stuck all the same.

...

[The Dark prince: Hey~!!! No fair~! I wanted the sweet little thing all to myself~!!!♡♡♡]

[The Grandfather: As much as i despise you pervert, i have to agree... it has been ages since we've had access to a anomaly from the beyond...]

[The Changer of ways: Did you see the look on the mortal's face~ hahahaha~]

[The Lord of skulls: you conniving whore!!! If any among us who should claim this one's fealty, it is I! Do i need to remind you that you've already had one under your control before!]

[The Dark prince: Oh do be quite, skull hoarder~ it's not my fault none found your offers tempting...]

...

As the gods continued to bicker amongst themselves isaac couldn't help but stare at the screen in incredulous disbelief. Others? He wasn't the first they've encountered? No... it actually made sense... there were bound to be reincarnators who wished to live in the warhammer galaxy. But it sounded like they all didn't have the same protections as his.

...

[Due to brief contacts to the warp the host has inadvertently inherited a mutation]

Mutation gained:

▪︎ [Psyker]

[Codex: Through brief contact with the user's mind, body and soul they have been altered into a conduit of the primal energies of the dimension itself!]

...

"W-wait, take it ba–"

Before he could utter anything more the system blinked out of sight leaving him alone to process what he was given. But just as he tried to attempt opening the interface once more a wave of unbearable pain erupted from within his skull.

"Ugh-!"

It was... it was like a tidalwave of voices were reverberating off every corner of his cranium. But... it wasn't just the voices. Energy... so much of it was rushing inside him like an uncontrollable river trying to fill a small pot. He felt so... full. Overloaded. And it showed as a powerful aura erupted all around him, lightning crackling from its outer edges as they struck the walls and ceiling with devestating force, leaving behind singed holes or craters.

Stumbling painfully towards the open window and leaning against it for support Isaac staring back out towards the hokage monument take a deep breath as his eyes shined with the same crackling matter, a maddening chuckle slipping through his gritted teeth even as he felt himself loss further control, he could hear... everything, the thoughts of hundreds, jumbled, nonsensical. And the power!!!

Tears pricked the corners of his eyes only to evaporate away in mere moments while he continued to cackle maddeningly. He didn't know what to do. It felt like he was drowing!

But then as moments passed isaac felt something else funnel its way into his psyche. Dicipline exercises... flashes of a diffrent version of himself going through countless trials to hone the raw energies of the warp came rushing in! It was as though he lived a diffrent lifetime in that moment.

...

Dicipline gained:

-Lesser Psychokinesis (Lv.1)

[Codex: Through knowledge gained from the souls of passed sanctioned psykers given by the system, you are able to manipulate or read the lesser minds of others, create constructs of psychic energy and telekinetically manipulate living and non-living matter.]

Discipline gained:

-Lesser Elektrokinesis (lv.1)

[Codex: Through knowledge gained from the souls of passed sanctioned psykers given by the system, you are able to control and unleash waves of psychic lightning upon your foes with devastating results.]

...

"I...*huff*...i don't know if i should be...*huff* thankful... or confused. But...*huff* I'll take what i...*huff*...can get..."

Despite the total mind-fuck and feeling the worlds worst migraine he'd ever had, Isaac was thankful to have such a trove in his possession. Slowly, steadily, the energy around him and within his sockets dispersed until it gradually vanished, leaving him to fall upon on his trembling knees. But the presence of the warp from beyond didn't go away, it merely remained within, eerily caressing his soul in hopes to be utilized more.

But... Isaac wasn't in any hurry to repeat that incident again. Next time he might not be so lucky. The Immaterium was a vast plane of existence. There may still be threats out there who may take notice eventually...

Yet... despite everything that has happened... he couldn't help but tiredly smile. It more so had to do with a discovery he made while immersed so deeply in the warp of this particular reality. This variation of Immaterium...

There was something... different about this variation. Unlike the chaotic and infested infinite space that the psykers of the Warhammer galaxy harnessed on a daily basis to utilize their abilities, he didn't feel the dangerous intrusion of daemons nor any kind of entity beyond trying to corrupt his soul. No... it was like this version of the Immaterium was... untouched. Just a clear viscous soup of energy waiting to be used by someone. Yet, he could feel the presence of dark strands attached to his body and soul like four umbilical cords extending far beyond into the infinite depths.

'Their' doing no doubt...

And yet... a smile began to slowly form on his lips as he stared up at the sky. Why? Because he was alive, despite what the 'Chat group' consisted of, it gave him a sense of hope with how it protected him from their schemes! He still had a future.

He had power, not necessarily a stable one, but power nonetheless! There was a fictional world out there to explore! What did he have to lose in the end? His soul? That probably would have been in the hands of some other diety...

Gamers weren't truly free... there was always a being out there who gave them their powers at the end of the day. Like it or not they were indebted. And he was no diffrent. Just another one of many to unknowingly be given a collar to secure around their neck.

It wasn't true for all of them... but it was for most.

And the chaos gods themselves...

He wasn't sure what role they had to play, but he'd figure it out... right?

What other path was there...

Who knows... it might be fun...

Now... what else can this system do...
