[3rd POV]
Seeing the famous Hotel off in the distance, the family had begun to make its way towards it. As it was pretty easily the best place for them to stay and it was not even remotely close. Sure, some of the people there were...batshit insane.
As well as...not exactly the most appropriate (we all know who that is), but it was still better than other places. Where there would probably be people trying to shoot them every other minute. Plus at least at the Hotel they would be able to interact with Charlie, who was an adorable sweetheart that deserved the world.
She also deserved some help to properly turn her hotel into something that can actually make a difference. And Lucifer was not opposed to providing that aid. It would do some good for this place, which she could tell was not being properly ran whatsoever.
It was disappointing how horribly it was being ran. The Underworld of this universe was made with specific laws and rules in place, all of which were utterly ignored by the leaders of the place, which was causing some serious issues with the stability of it.
They were meant to have the ability to overcome their sins, to seek forgiveness and potentially obtain a place in this universe's Heaven. Similar to the Arrowverse heaven that she knew of. But the way it worked was a bit less strict, and far more interesting to see in person.
She could literally see the laws and rules of the underworld in this universe, and she could literally see them actively not working, and being ignored. The Underworld was not meant for a permanent stop, at least not for a majority of people. There was some that were never getting into heaven no matter what they did, and no matter how long they were there.
Hitler was of course on that list. As was pedophiles and creatures like them.
Lucifer swept her senses deeper into the rules of the Underworld, and had to bite back a scowl when she realized that it wasn't the demonic side of things that were really causing the issue. No, it was the angelic side.
Oh, the demonic side was certainly not helping at all, but they were not directly blocking things from changing. They were not violating laws and rules that had been put into place for a reason. no, they were basically being forced into their current situation against their will.
By the angels.
A part of that was thanks to their occasional Extermination. Through technicality it was "helping" get rid of sinners, which was cheating the system. But not through the intended way through acceptance, understanding, a suitable amount of punishment, and such.
No, it was by killing them in a far more permanent matter, ruining any chance of them coming back from this.
Lucifer realized that the angels were fucking stupid, and were killing thousands every exterimination for literally no reason. Beyond the fact that it was breaking the rules that God of this universe had put into place, it was also literally not changing anything.
The amount of people in the hell of this universe FAR outweighed the heavens, like by over ten times at least. Mostly because the Hazbin Hotel/Helluva boss universe was pretty fucked up in every area, including the mortal side of things. And that number was constantly going up as new denizens of hell made their way to the place.
It was literally inevitable that Hell would surpass heaven in power and size. All because whoever was running heaven now was being a moron and letting Adam and his goons slaughter untold amounts of sinners every time they came down to hell.
Lucifer was pretty sure it was millions considering how giant hell was and how many people truly lived in that place.
While walking, Lucifer had kept her aura around the group. She was not interested in dealing with any idiots trying anything to her family. So she made sure that her aura was passively pushing them away, so that none of them even noticed the families existence. They would only notice them if she wanted them to be noticed.
And she did not.
While walking, she had also seen the amount of people walking to and from places, pretty much every single one of them had some sort of weapon with them. They also all had quite a lot to see, mostly profanities and other crap that Lucifer opted to ignore and make sure the kiddos ignored as well.
She didn't want them hearing whatever they were doing. Especially when they walked past some of the more...revealing folk that were doing some work of the kind that children shouldn't be seeing. But she supposed that she could not entirely blame them, as children were very rare in hell because well...no normal child would be in hell.
They pretty much have to be bat shit insane to get to hell when young. But there are exceptions like children being born between two demons and living there their entire life. There was no one really like Lucifer's family.
That much would be obvious if any sufficiently powerful demon came around and noticed them. But they wouldn't be, and Lucifer wouldn't let them get noticed even if someone like Alastor or one of them came around.
The amount of gunfire in the city was also truly impressive to Lucifer, realizing that there had to be insane amounts of guns all around the place. It was mostly impressive because what the hell was a gun going to do against a demon.
Lucifer realized pretty quickly that the gunfire was far away and even if it was close, none of it touched the street that they were on. Which was probably because it was connected to a bunch of people who you would not want to fuck with at all.
Lucifer spread her senses out more as she looked into the magical system of this universe. She found out pretty quickly that it was somewhat underwhelming, even if it was a little interesting in very very few areas.
Those areas were rituals and runes. Both of them were intricately connected to demonic entities and stuff like that. They were also quite flexible and had a lot of uses, but said uses were not really all that strong, disappointingly enough.
Getting closer to the hotel, Lucifer began to notice a severe lack of close gunfire, which made a lot of sense. Say what you will about Charlie, but nobody, not a single person, wanted to fuck with her. All because nobody wants to fuck with the other Lucifer, her father.
That man was strong, probably the strongest being in hell. Well, second strongest now. Lucifer, the true Lucifer, was billions of times stronger than him. And was stronger than the aspect of her father that existed here.
"Do you think we'll be able to get a room big enough for all of us?" Alice asked, as they began to walk up to the entrance to the hotel.
"I believe so. If not we can just get separate rooms that are close together" Lucifer replied with a shrug, she could use her powers to find out, but that would be boring and they were here on a trip for fun, not to become bored by cheating for everything.
Alice nodded slowly at her words, as Lucifer and the family soon stood in front of the entrance to the hotel. And with a small smile, the door opened, and they stepped in.
Only for a glass to fly past Lucifer's head, slamming against the door that shut behind them, as Lucifer slowly raised an eyebrow at the sight that was occurring before her, amusement swimming in her eyes.
It would seem that an argument was occurring between a rather irate grey skinned girl, and a tall...man? Woman?
That was evidently Angel Dust.
And as they silently stood there watching the argument before them, Lucifer barely bit back a laugh, as she inwardly had only one thought on her mind.
'Oh...this is going to be so much more fun than I thought!'
