High above the wastelands, Runo and the Angel clashed in the skies, Runo was blasting powerful beams that layed waste to the mountains and wastelands around them. She wasn't just blasting, she was flying at incredible speeds while dodging and weaving through the slashes the Angel of her opponent was sending at her.
Runo dimaterialized the blaster on her hand and resummoned a giant missile launcher and laser cannons that fired in rapid succession. The Angel intercepted the incoming attacks as it responded by dodging through the air and cutting through the power missles and beams Runo had launched at it. Every beam Runo had launched at her opponent was causing huge explosions in the sky, but the Angel sliced through and weaved through everything.
Runo gritted her teeth and pulled out a massive blaster, charging it with a massive amount of energy.
"Suck on this!", she exclaimed.
The blast roared forward. The Angel instantly dodged, but before it could recover, Runo unleashed a storm of beams that rained down relentlessly.
The Angel darted through the beams and explosions in the air, its skills were incredibly sharp as it flipped and dodged through everything flying its way. But Runo anticipated it. In an instant, she appeared above the Angel, her blaster glowing dangerously.
She fired out a tramendous amount of energy from her blaster that engulfed the Angel. The blast immediately incinerated and obliterated the mountains and wasteland below. Smoke and fire swallowed the battlefield.
Hovering above the carnage, Runo exhaled.
"This fight was harder than I thought… but I guess I pulled through."
Then—
SHRRAAANG!
A massive purple slash tore past her, nearly bisecting her where she stood. The shockwave carved through two mountains and the wasteland beyond.
Runo spun in disbelief. The smoke cleared—revealing the Angel untouched, its form radiating with overwhelming power.
"Threat targeted. Initiating kill on sight.", the Angel declared like a robot.
Its sword that had ancient symbols written all ovet it, pulsed with an even greater energy as its wings twisted into a new form, spilling divine purple energy in the air. Just charging up its power was causing a powerful thunder storm all over the wastelands.
Runo gritted her teeth, she was shocked to see this tramendous level of power the Angel bad brewing out of it.
"What was I thinking?! There's no way this fight ends so quickly… Guess I'll just have to turn things up."
Two enormous machine guns with tramendous amounts of energy materialized in her grasp, surrounded by spinning magic circles. She unleashed a torrent of explosive power that flew towards the Angel and started to cause powerful explosions all over the air. The amount of power Runo was showcasing was much more powerful than the last set of attacks she blasted around.
The Angel seeing these rapid fire attacks heading to it, raised its blade and slicing through the storm of energy bullets. Deflected rounds detonated across the landscape, obliterating entire forests and mountain ranges.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the warzone—
Kazui battled the huge shadow puppet, he and the monster were flying all over the air. Kazui kept firing green flaming arrows as he flew at tramendous speeds all over the air. In the explosion of green flames all over the air, the shadow puppet flew towards him as it dodged relentlessly and darted through the explosions of green flames all over the air. It even ended up catching one of Kazui's fire arrows and threw it back at him with more power and speed.
Kazui clicked his tounge, charged up a huge amount of green flames, started to create weapons of green flames all over the air like swords, scythes, shurikens and giant daggers and arrows. After creating them with a powerful amount of green flames, he launched them at the shadow puppet that was charging towards him. These attacks from Kazui immediately blasted the shadow puppet through mountains with insane levels of power. It caused a very intense cataclysmic explosion of flames.
But the puppet wasn't done. Roaring, it tore a boulder from the earth the size of a fortress and hurled it at Kazui.
Kazui smirked. His body burst into green fire as he dashed forward, forging a massive flaming blade.
He cleaved the rock apart in midair, the blast scattering debris like meteors.
The puppet launched itself forward at full speed, but Kazui was already moving. Magic circles of green flames formed above him.
"Burning Oblivion!", Kazui called out.
The circles aligned, unleashing a titanic inferno that engulfed the puppet completely, the monsterous shadow puppet roared in pain. The flames consumed everything—forest, mountains, wasteland—reducing it all to cinders.
When the blaze faded, nothing of the puppet remained.
Kazui floated down, his flaming coat flickering before fading, his hair returning to normal.
"Well… that was fun. Haven't had this much fun in ages. Still—Sōn can build up more heat than i can. Guess I'd better start training harder."
Luck, sitting casually on the ruins of a building, raised an eyebrow.
"You're done already? Wasn't expecting it to be so fast."
Kazui chuckled.
"Yeah. Glad I haven't grown weak, or I'd have had to push my limits. By the way—where's Tobi?"
Luck pointed up.
"He's up there."
Kazui looked skyward. Above, the sky lit with massive explosions, shockwaves ripping apart the clouds. Tobi was locked in battle with another shadow puppet, their movements clashing like streaks of light.
Kazui sighed.
"Guess we just have to wait for him. …By the way, Luck—wanna sneak off behind one of these buildings and bang to kill some time?".
Luck snorted.
"Nah. Imagine a new enemy catching us off guard while we're doing it—it'd be awkward as hell. I'd say we wait till this war is over… then we can bang our guts out afterwards."
Kazui smirked, shaking his head.
"Fair enough."
