Mangekyou Sharingan.
The words echoed in Sasuke's mind, an evolution of the Sharingan that bestowed immense power, including the formidable ability to summon the famed 'Susanoo,' a colossal yet humanoid chakra aggregate. Each Mangekyou Sharingan bore unique patterns and granted distinctive powers stored within its eyes.
Next, information flooded Sasuke's mind.
Genjitsu O Kaeru.
Sasuke's Mangekyou manifested a distinct power, deviating from the original Sasuke's dual-ability configuration. Instead, both eyes harboured a single power—reality alteration.
His eyes bestowed Sasuke the power to directly manipulate the fabric of reality. Through this ability, he could alter the fundamental laws of the universe within a given space and could change the properties of physical matter; there was also seemingly no limitation on how many times he could use his ability on a single target.
However, the universe still stands true to its cruel and impartial nature, as the use of this ability contains an inherent risk alongside the Mangekyou Sharingan's known affliction of gradual blindness and a huge chakra cost.
The inherent risk referred to how consistent and extreme use of his new ability would generate ripples in the fabric of reality.
These ripples would affect the world Sasuke currently inhabits by weakening the nexus between the physical and metaphysical realms.
In simpler terms, spiritual entities like the Shinigami would be capable of directly interfering with the material world without any need for an anchor or ritual.
These ripples would also spread out not only to this world but to other worlds and timelines, thus affecting a distant timeline or even a completely different universe.
As Sasuke slowly absorbed the information regarding his new ability, a certain phrase suddenly appeared in his mind:
'This power is simply... ridiculous!' Sasuke muttered inwardly, struggling to clear his mind from the overwhelming surge of strength coursing through him and the horrific consequences of its misuse. Eventually, he composed himself, ready to make sense of this horrifying power within himself.
'But...' Sasuke grimaced. 'It's a bit useless.'
Not only did he have to grapple with that eerie-sounding risk, he was certain he was nowhere close to having enough chakra to even use this thing once.
'Sick! I get near omnipotence, but can't even use it...'
It felt like he was being targeted by the universe. Something out there just wasn't happy about letting him live an easy life.
'Though I do wonder? If I had used this ability in the future, would it affect the current me? ...Surely not?'
Head bowed in contemplation, soon ambition gleamed in his eyes as a plan unfolded within his mind.
'Even if I refrain from using this ability for now, relying on the enhanced basic abilities of the Sharingan from this evolution should hasten the growth of my strength. Once I reach a certain level, revenge for the original Sasuke becomes a possibility, as long as it doesn't directly jeopardise my life. Hiruzen, Danzo, Uchiha Obito, and Uchiha Itachi...' Sasuke's thoughts trailed off at the mention of the last name.
Uncertainty clouded Sasuke's perception of Hiruzen's involvement in the Uchiha massacre, prompting the need for further investigation.
Danzo presented a formidable challenge.
Was he strong? Not particularly. But damn, he would be hard to kill.
Eliminating Danzo required not only discovering the ROOT headquarters but also facing a legion of highly skilled, emotionless killing machines. The battle itself, complicated by Danzo's Sharingan implants and mastery of Izanagi, would prove to be an uphill struggle unless planned properly.
Uchiha Obito, manipulated by Madara, tugged at Sasuke's empathy to an extent, yet he couldn't disregard Obito's actions. To fulfil his self-serving objectives, Obito orchestrated an assault on Konoha, masterminding the devastating Nine-Tails attack just several years ago. Additionally, he perpetrated the massacre within the Uchiha clan, directly taking the lives of numerous of his clan members.
Itachi, the one directly responsible for the Uchiha massacre, stood at the boiling point of Sasuke's conflicting emotions. While understanding Itachi's motivations, which allowed for Konoha and his younger brother to remain unharmed, Sasuke could not forgive him.
Especially not on behalf of the previous Sasuke.
'Normally, lying low would be a wise choice, but Itachi ensured my safety through his actions. I guess being low-key isn't a necessity. I should still hide my Mangekyou for now, though, as I don't want to take chances with Danzo trying to steal my eyes regardless of Itachi's threat because of his greed.'
Pacing around his home like an anxious ferret, he mulled over his plans.
'My path lies in Ninja School, continuous training, and the pursuit of the Eternal Mangekyou. Graduating early is an option, but not urgent. I aim to leave Ninja School as, at the very least, a Special Jonin in strength. Revenge becomes somewhat plausible with Kage-level strength.'
'For training, I should look at the scrolls that were hidden by our family at home, as the other scrolls that were scattered around the clan library unsurprisingly vanished when I got home.'
Speechless, Sasuke could only shake his head as he remembered the now-empty library.
'I must also contemplate managing any remaining assets of the Uchiha clan. Although I may not possess considerable expertise in business matters, I can attempt to integrate some of my modern knowledge to enhance the profit margins of the various shops in Konoha. However, those distant businesses will prove to be a challenge to manage...'
He soon ceased his pondering and readied himself to seek out the 3rd Hokage.
