As I walked closer and closer to the platform, I started hearing soft cracking sounds from where the sleeping man was. As I tried to figure out where the sound came from, I heard the heartbeats which were previously weak and faint, getting louder by the second. It was so loud now that it was already started to create echos, bouncing on the walls of the underground cave.
As I looked more closely, it seemed like cracks are starting to form on the surface of the calcified egg and the dull gray mud-like coating was starting to peel off bit by bit. Some faint yellow light was starting to seep out and shine through those gaps and cracks. Altair and I ended up looking at each other, surprise and a little panic showing in both our eyes. We don't know what to do with this situation!
