Daisy sat on a bench in the garden area of the hospital. It was evening time so the place was quite empty except for some of the patients who were taking a walk with their family members.
"The doctor said that you will feel better once you wake up but seeing your condition, it doesn't seem to be the case,'' Caleb said as he sat next to Daisy on the bench, ''What are you thinking about?"
Daisy remained silent for a moment before she opened her mouth, ''I was thinking how many of these patients are recovering and how many of them are not. And the ones that are not recovering well, how do their family members survive with that knowledge?"
''What should they do in your opinion then? Cry or live in denial…'' Caleb shook his head, ''They must be aware and they must have bawled when nobody watches them. But then, that is life. Despite how broken you are, you pick up the shards and carry on. You live with the knowledge that your loved ones will someday leave your side.''
