"What on earth happened?" Wu Mei asked in surprise, looking at Lin Feng.
"Nothing..." Lin Feng didn't want to bring up his rather ominous thought again in front of Wu Mei, so he laughed and said, "My brain just short-circuited a bit."
Baffled, Wu Mei saw that Lin Feng didn't want to elaborate and chose not to press further. She was just getting ready to enjoy some warm, quiet time with him when suddenly, Wu Mei looked up, a puzzled expression on her face. "Oh, right, Lin Feng, I remember I definitely locked the door from the inside. How did you get in?"
Lin Feng glanced back at the front door whose lock he'd smashed and grimaced. Out of necessity, he walked over to the door and propped a sofa against it.
Upon witnessing this, something seemed to click for Wu Mei, and she burst into giggles...
"HEHE... Lin Feng, you didn't misunderstand what Yan Su meant, thinking I'd turned into a corpse, and that's why you forced your way into the room, did you? That's hilarious..."
