Chapter 90 - Chapter 90: Canon? Never heard of it!

Raven let a small cackle out as he dodged out of the way of a pair of claws. He had decided to hunt down this group of four dead apostles out of boredom.

They weren't any major threat, just regular humans turned. It was adorable that they thought he could even take damage from them, unless he let it happen.

"Lord Krane said we'd be unbeatable, so why is this bastard beating us!?" One of them yelled and Raven cackled again and sent a spear made of air through his chest, just avoiding the heart.

"Perhaps, and this is just a theory, but maybe because you're all only stronger then regular humans instead of the entire supernatural community. I mean, you four are just a joke." Raven smiled innocently at them as he sat on a wall and kicked his feet like a child.

"Shut up you bastard!"

Raven sighed, he wished they could use some better responses, because being called a bastard was only funny for so many times.

"Bored now." Raven grumbled before in an instant he moved and ripped all their hearts out and burnt them up.

"Hmm, I do have some free time, so I guess I can go visit Zelretch to see if he can help me acquire that item." Raven mused with a nod and opened a portal to the clocktower, as he crossed through he waved his hand and restored the area he was in.

•~~~~•

"Raven." Zelretch greeted as he opened the door to his quarters. "Come on in."

"Old man. Your bones not creaking yet?" Raven asked cheerfully as he looked around for a moment before sitting down and holding out a small box, it was only polite to offer a small gift from asking for something.

"Haha not yet." Zelretch chuckled as he accepted the gift as he sat down and opened it to reveal two bars of Dawn Ingots and a glowing blue gem.

"Oh my. Such exquisite metals, and this gem, filled with some kinda of special mana?" Zelretch noted and Raven smiled.

"It's mana directly generated from my True Magic." Raven said and Zelretch froze before he cackled and safely stored the item away once he got his cackling under control.

"I see, what do you want then?"

"I'm planning on some traveling in the future, and as confident as I am in my strength, I'm not stupid enough to think I can escape or overpower any situation I'm in. So I was wondering if you could loan me some of the magic of your True Magic, and place it in here as a form of tracker where it will help you locate me when I channel my own True Magic mana into it." Raven said as the older man hummed as he grabbed his chin and waved his hand summoning a book to himself as he looked through it.

Raven held up a copy of his cross earring, but this one had a small blue gem in the middle where the parts of the cross met.

"I've done something similar, or rather one of my alternatives have, but with something much larger, he used a rod as a form of tracking between universes." Zelretch said as he held his hand out and a metal rod appeared.

"Oh how curious, I can see the energy of the kaleidoscope in there, inside some form of core… a unknown form of a gem?" Raven asked as he peered at the rods inner workings with his eyes.

"Correct. Using the mana of the kaleidoscope, and adding in a basic runic sequence to control the core, it lets the person using it track the rod no matter the coordinates, even across the multiverse." Zelretch explained and Raven hummed as he created a duplicate of the rod, minus the mana in it, and snapped it in half as he studied its internals.

"That's interesting. Combining those two runes is not something I've thought of before due to their inability to properly work together, but here they work." Raven praised as he started writing some runic sequences on a paper.

"What about this, it's the same thing, but compressed and much more smoother." Raven said as he slid another paper to Zelretch who hummed in thought.

"It's possible, let me see that earring." Zelretch said and Raven handed it over as Zelretch began making some modifications to it.

Five minutes later he was done. The only change was a small white line at the bottom of the black earring.

"Here we go, a little test." Zelretch said and chucked it through a portal and closed it. Ten minutes later he smiled. "Success."

Zelretch opened his hand and the earring plopped down into it.

"I've filled this with enough of my mana that it should last till the next five years." Zelretch said and Raven smiled as he nodded in thanks as he clipped it onto his ear.

Of course he had added a way to turn off the tracking feature, which it was right now since the test was done.

Once he was pleased with that, he started making small talk and discussing magical theory.

•~~~~•

"Well done." Raven praised Rose as he tossed her a water bottle, she gratefully downed the whole thing.

"Still wasn't enough to force you to be serious." Rose pouted and Raven chuckled.

"My dear apprentice, if I was serious, I better be fighting a divine being at minimum." Raven said with a hint of annoyance, but Rose knew it wasn't at her.

"Magician stereotype?" Rose asked as she sat down besides him as she calmed her mana down.

"Yes and no. It is a stereotype that a magician is something even the divine shouldn't mess with, but it's not wrong either, however my own strength is enough to fight divine beings without my True Magic, so it's a bit annoying only be considered for my magic." Raven admitted as he formed a small ball in his hand and tossed it far before it exploded taking out a mountain.

"A simple attack is equal to fodder of the supernatural, and yet all everyone sees is my true magic." Raven sighed as he laid down.

"You've said this to me before, don't care for the masses, the opinions of sheep matter little in the end." Rose quoted and Raven snorted before a laugh escaped him.

"Well said, whoever said it was clearly a genius." Raven said smugly as Rose rolled her eyes and flicked a small fireball at his face, and he just blew it out nonchalantly.

"Anyways, your skills have greatly improved, I dare say learning the truth has only empowered you, and perhaps not just physically." Raven smiled as he noted how much more relaxed and happy she was.

"So I'll give you a reward, pick one of three." Raven said as he held three envelopes up and Rose smiled as her face went a bit red in joy and slightly embarrassment.

"The middle one." She declared and he smiled and the other two burned away.

"Good choice, go on and open it up." He said smiling as he handed it over. Rose happily took it and gently opened it without ripping the envelope. He had beaten some skill into her. Lots of envelopes ensured that.

"A free all stay covered vacation at InLornis Resort." She read out and he smiled. He mentally laughed at her confused look.

"A magical resort that caters ONLY to supernatural beings. A way to relax or conduct business meetings without worry. Want to get away from your overpowered spouse? Come on down. Tired of the kids? Come on down. Just want a drink in peace? Come on down." Raven laughed as he couldn't wait for her reaction to the fact that he owned it.

"We will be leaving tomorrow, so make sure your bags are packed, and don't worry, I already cleared it with the staff. As your offical master, I have the right to pull you out of school temporarily for any reason I see as fit. Albus approved of the trip, so off we go. Remember to pack a swimsuit." Raven said cheerfully before teleporting them both back to Hogwarts through his portal, however as they exited the portal they were slammed into by… Granger holding a time turner and sand flying everywhere.

"Wait- oh shit." Raven said as everything started glowing, especially his new earring. "Well crap." Raven said as they vanished.

Albus appeared moments later in a fiery ball with Fawkes and stared at the sand on the floor.

"Fuck." Albus cursed, and at that moment the rest of the staff appeared wands ready, just hearing the curse.

"Albus!" Minerva yelled as they got close.

"Time Sand." Flitwick said seriously.

"Headmaster, do you send Granger with the wards?" Snape asked suddenly and Albus took a deep breath to focus himself and then shook his head.

"No, but I'm most worried because at that moment I sensed Raven and Rose return via his portal, a space portal." Albus said as realization clicked into place.

"With thr magicians raw magical energy, and the space portal combined with time sand, they could be anywhere and any when." Snape said aloud as everyone paled.

They were all dead, Lorelei was gonna kill them all. Then do it again.

"Well we're dead." Hagrid said bluntly and then the panic started.

First and foremost they shut down the hallway and called the unspeakables. Then Albus went and made two calls. If he was lucky, Two and Five could fix this.

•~~~~•

"Honestly, giving a teenage girl a time turner, what morons allowed that?" Raven grumbled as he stuck the landing and caught Rose by the arm. Granger wasn't so lucky.

"Where are we? Hogwarts… it doesn't feel right." Rose said and Raven smiled as he patted her head. She would very much be correct, they were in a different universe now.

Combining his raw power, time sand and the space aspect of his portal would be an incident to cross time and space inside a universe, however with the energy inside his second earring, they were capable of traversing the universe.

Honestly, it was good timing on his part to get his earring, which was currently at half energy capacity due to this stunt.

Honestly, he's gonna punch Albus for approving to give a student a time turner just to attend more classes, especially without enforcing better rules.

"Correct." Raven said pleased as he held up his hand and then frowned as he saw the black filling his hand and he focused himself and fully returned to his human form.

He supposed that traveling the universe made his instincts go wild for a moment with unfamiliar danger in the world triggering him returning to his true form.

"Ms. Granger? Here on summer break, and with friends?" A familiar voice asked and Raven frowned as he stared at Albus, no this wasn't his Albus, this was Dumbledore.

"Headmaster." She said relieved and Raven raised his hand up stopping the old man.

"You truly are quite oblivious for being called a smart girl." Raven said dryly as his hand glowed softly with magic, he didn't intend to use it, but it was all to prove a point.

"Think on what just happened Granger. The headmaster here knows you, but doesn't know either of us. What does that tell you?" Raven said and after a moment of no answer he sighed and looked to Rose.

"That this isn't our universe." She said and Raven smiled at his apprentice.

"Indeed." Raven said as he let the magic in his hand fade away. "This is not our home. However I do believe that Dumbledore here would be more then willing to assist us, I would say that Granger should be around fourth or fifth year?" Raven guessed as he stared at Dumbledore.

"Correct, based on the evidence and assumed age of Ms. Granged here, she would be in her third year and a broken time turner led to this incident." Dumbledore guessed correctly.

"Indeed, a mixing of space and time energy led to the ability to traverse the universe when combined with my magical energy. Magus?" Raven suddenly threw out and Dumbledore titled his head unsure.

"Well that's a bummer, no Zelretch here. Mages?" Raven asked and Dumbledore nodded his head.

"Interesting, looks like we're going to be here for a while." Raven mused already planning to find a spot to hide out till Zelretch would track him down.

"Sirius Black is innocent right?" Raven asked suddenly and Dumbledore smiled.

"So you are at that time, how intriguing. Yes, he is innocent and Peter Petegrew disguised as a rat was the real traitor." Albus said and Raven smirked. He had some work to do when he got back to their universe.

"Interesting, well my dear, it looks like we have to prove his innocence in our world, if he is innocent anyway." Raven said, but he had a feeling Sirius Black was innocent of his charges.

Actions speak louder then words after all.

Never once did he attempt to harm Rose, he attacked Gryffindor only, which made no sense unless he was after someone else, or he just assumed Rose would be in Gryffindor due to her parents being there.

"Ronald Weasley's rat is Petegrew." Raven realized and Dumbledore nodded his head.

"Indeed my boy. He was pretending to be the pet rat of one Ronald Weasley."

"Don't call me that again unless you want your throat ripped out." Raven threatened as a bit of his bloodlust leaked out before he sealed it back up realizing Granger was already suffocating under it.

"My apologies." Dumbledore said and Raven smiled innocently like an angel.

"Glad to hear, now if my thought is right…" Raven let his magic flow through the castle and scan it whole. "Interesting. This version of Hogwarts is much less secured then the other one, but then again, you don't have magus lying in wait and wizards are on the bottom totom poll of power hierarchy." Raven mused aloud enjoying the tick marks forming on Dumbledore's face.

"Can't take you anywhere." Rose sighed as she punched his side and he grumbled, her punches actually were capable of damaging him. Demigoddesses were bullshit.

"So you do know me, what might your names be?" Dumbledore asked calmly.

"Rose Potter. This idiot is Raven Inanis, our local eccentric loony mad man genius." Rose introduced and Raven huffed, she wasn't wrong, but she could have at least added some special dramatic flare into it.

How boring!

"The-Girl-Who-Lived?" Dumbledore mumbled and Raven sighed and spoke up.

"She doesn't appreciate that title, so don't call her that." Raven said coldly and Dumbledore nodded. Rose grabbed Raven's hand in her own and he just hummed softly, but he didn't stop her.

"My apologies, I will refrain from such titles." Dumbledore said, though there was a pleased expression in his eyes, and Raven rolled his eyes mentally.

"It is appreciated Headmaster Dumbledore." Rose said coldly and Raven found it absolutely adorable that she tried to copy him. She needed to work on her expressions though, he'd fix that later.

"Why don't we move from this hallway to my office?" Dumbledore suggested and the three agreed and headed that way.

Raven mentally noted that the castle was mostly the same, there seemed to be a weird presence inside of its core, but he didn't particularly find it interesting, a soul bound to the castles core ward stone, not anything new, some objects after existing can form their own basic soul, a castle like Hogwarts with such a rich magical presence would definitely grow a soul.

His own had one, but it was nothing quite alive, perhaps more like an animal thing anything else. It was curious about certain people and provided easier passage for some, but it was nothing quite completely sentient.

(R.I.P. Ella)

It was a interesting take on the birth of souls and the relation to sentience. Some beings could be sentient and not have a soul, but some beings needed a soul to be sentient.

He was honestly curious if his future projects could grow a soul if he induced sentience inside of them. Could he have had Aria survive if he let the soulless core continue to exist? Would she have grown a new soul based off the remnant data from the soul of Aria?

It all so fascinating!

"Sour pops." Dumbledore spoke and Raven focused part of his mind on the current moment, another part of it could focus on this curious thought.

Raven smiled as he saw this worlds Fawkes, they both had a stare off, Raven let a bit of his mana seep out and mix with the phoenixes who chirped surprised, but pleased before flying down and landing on his arm.

"Fawkes certainly likes you, he never really takes to many people." Dumbledore said with surprise in his tone and Raven snorted mentally. Apparently this headmaster didn't know about the fact that a phoenix isn't actually the light based creature he thinks it is.

Honestly amusing.

"Of course he does, how can this handsome avian not appreciate such excellent company?" Raven grinned as Fawkes chipped happily as he preened his hair.

"I supposed so." Dumbledore mused unsure.

"Now then, shall we speak seriously on the subject no one brought up. You said that Rose's count part is a male, or rather implied it by your confusion over the girl part of her stupid title. So how is little Harry James Potter headmaster?" Raven asked smugly.

He enjoyed the shock on Dumbledore's face, the confusion on Granger's, and the exasperation on Rose's.

Of course he had just read the surface thoughts of Dumbledore to gain the name as they met, nothing too hard, this Dumbledore's shields were barely a tenth of the strength of Albus' mental shields.

"He is spending the summer with his relatives, The Dursley's, to charge the blood wards." Dumbledore said after a moment to get his thoughts together and reinforce his mental shields.

Raven wanted to snort, he had been trying to read their surface thoughts, but he didn't like that, so he didn't let the old man, for his sheer amusement.

"Dursleys?" Rose muttered as she leaned in closer to Raven who wrapped his arm around her shoulder.

"So those pigs still exist here and are responsible for a baby whale and a skinny teen." Raven said as Rose dug her head into his side.

"They are her relatives, certainly they cared for her?" Dumbledore spoke and Raven glared at the old man. He had taken that moment to read the headmasters mind in regards to Harry James Potter and was disgusted at the thought of the headmaster willingly sending the teen back to those "normal" humans again summer after summer.

He may not care for the general human population, but he would not stand for the abuse suffered to people, children even less. What was the point of making children suffer to feel good about yourself?

Torturing adults? Whatever, it sucks, but they're fully grown humans. Children however don't deserve that abuse, as a person who suffered, he doesn't want others suffering like he did, though he's pretty sure others haven't gone through what he has…

"They wanted to use me as a sex slave for Dudley. They deserve to suffer in the underworlds fields of punishment for eternity." Rose snarled out as her hair ignited on fire, Raven idly ran his hand through it to calm her down, constantly healing his hand from the burns he suffered.

He was just thankful that her purple flames hadn't appeared, he really needed to talk with Hades and Hestia about that, especially if it's what he think it is, she would need serious training he wasn't sure he could provide in that regard.

"I'm sorry for bringing up such memories, however I can assure you that they aren't like that here." Dumbledore said and Raven huffed, he should go and murder them here and now to help Harry Potter.

"Let's leave such topics for later or never, I believe we are here to discuss temporary housing till we can leave and return to our own universe." Raven said calmly as he created a hair tie with a tracker in it and tied it around Rose's hair, it was flames proof, well except for her purple flames.

"Yes let's. I supposed it's best to inform you that earlier this year Voldemort was revived during the Tri-Wizard Tournament using a blood ritual." Dumbledore said and Raven hummed softly.

"What kind of blood ritual?"

"Bones of the father, Flesh of the servant, and the blood of an enemy, which was Harry Potter."

"Oh? That silly ritual, honestly it would have been cheaper to request a top grade homunculus body, but perhaps taking the blood of Harry Potter gave Tommy boy a way around the blood sacrifice of Lily Potter." Raven said aloud and then snapped his fingers.

"Wait, if he has the blood of Harry Potter inside of him, then those blood wards are useless against Tom." Raven said as Dumbledore nodded.

"Indeed, however it is still safer there for the time then somewhere else I'm currently fortifying." Dumbledore said and Raven could understand that point. Unless the dark wanker was willing to go himself to a muggle area, Harry Potter would be safe behind the wards.

"Interesting, so I assume we will be heading to the place you are fortifying currently?" Raven asked and Dumbledore nodded his head.

"Alright then, I was just planning on going to some hotel till our ride home gets here, but I supposed these two are creatures of social interaction unlike me." Raven said as he waved his hand and made some comfy chairs.

"What? I'm sure we will be waiting while Dumbledore here goes and informs his little order about this and we will have to wait here till then." Raven said as he mentally prayed for strength, he wished Izanami was here right now. She's much better at this emotionally helpful stuff then him.

"Indeed, some of them will need a proper… warning, of the situation so nothing bad happens to you three." Dumbledore said and Raven snorted, as if those fools could actually harm him, Rose would be able to burn them all to ashes with her flames if she tried. Granger was the only weak link here.

"I will be back within the hour." Dumbledore said as he slipped through the floo to some address, Raven noted that he could hear it, but not quite make it out, so some kind of Fidelius Charm.

"Anyways, now that the goat man is gone, let me say this Granger, watch where you are running in a hallway with a dangerous artifact around your neck. You WILL be facing severe punishment when we return home." Raven said seriously as Granger hunched in on herself. Rose only watched, she was in agreement after all.

"I'm sorry, but why do you keep saying when we return home, as if you are confident we will go home." She asked and Raven titled his head.

"Ah you're serious, girl I'm a magician, who is in relatively good standing with his fellow magicians, the second would come and find me sooner or later. I give it a week at most before he can properly get the coordinates down to take us home." Raven said as he felt his earring gave some sort of more presence now and knew Zelretch had locked onto his location.

"Oh."

"Yeah, now I will say this, don't go saying anything about us, we don't know these people. They are not our friends, nor are they the people we knew despite how similar they could be." Raven said, no, he ordered the girl.

"Ok." She sulked and he rolled her eyes having a feeling the girl would tell the first professor she saw everything anyway. Her need to please authority figures was a major downside.

Rose just smiled at him and he patted her on the head and then froze as he felt a tugging on himself, something was trying to drag him somewhere, in this universe. He placed a beacon at this Hogwarts and took a deep breath to delay the pull for a moment.

"Listen, I'm being pulled somewhere by something, so you're in charge Rose, I'll be back soon hopefully." Raven said before he felt himself being pulled by some overpowering force.

The two girls only stared at him in shock as he just disappeared through some colorful looming portal.

Oh yeah baby, a 4100 word chapter for y'all!

It was definitely an interesting take here in writing this chapter, I had thought on how I wanted to do this, in the original version I took inspiration from Fates Gamble fanfiction by Lupine Horror, one of my favorite top ten fanfics. The broken time turner combined with overpowering magic allowing for universal travel. So I added in my own twist with a space element portal and the seconds true magic energy in his earring allowing for proper travel of the multiverse.

I was also unsure how I wanted to do the first scene in the next chapter, ima just wing that bitch and hope for the best, because the characters I'm using for it are always interesting to me how they are portrayed. Because it's usually the same thing, or the rare occasion where it's a refreshing thing and they have a good personality and writing style.

Anyways I'm tired and need sleep.

Hope you enjoyed!

Bye~
