Chapter 24 - The cat monster in Capelli's hut

One day, I, the monster Magersi, turned into a cat and entered the hut of the warrior and his wife, Mirta

The warrior was always away from home looking for firewood and hunting deer and rabbits for meat

When I enter the hut, Capelli looks at me and says to Mirta: A cat is in our house, its eyes are scary. Mother, have you seen cats in the village?

Mirta was confused and said, "Those wild cats attacked us in the castle, but they disappeared after we killed many of them. They may have come from the castle. Beware of them."

In the room, Capelli was playing, searching through his warrior father's belongings. He found an arrow, a sword, and a small green box. He liked that box, so he wanted to open it but he could not. Then I screamed, and the box opened in front of him. He took out a star and pointed it at my eyes, forcing me to disappear.

Capelli was screaming, where is that, where did you disappear? I don't want to throw it at you. I was on the ceiling, watching him

He hides that golden star and holds those golden keys and says, "How beautiful are my father's keys. I will keep them and hide them. If they are lost, the warrior will not return.

The sun was setting, with its orange color closing my eyes, and when I heard the voice of the warrior calling out to Capelli, my love, where are you, come, I brought a lot of meat. It is rabbits.

I quickly descended from the ceiling while Cappelli was arranging his father's things and hiding the green box

The warrior left the door open, so I entered behind him and hid behind the door

Cappelli went to the kitchen to serve Mirta the meat, while Cappelli was sitting writing in ink

The warrior sat next to him and asked him to show him what he wrote. The warrior took the paper and read it

A wild cat wants to take my father's keys

Capelli laughed as he said Capelli the writer. At that moment, Mirta placed the dining table between them

She tells the warrior what makes you laugh

Warrior: Capelli advises me not to lose my keys and makes me think of wild cats

Mirta: Yes, there is a cat in the house

The warrior stood worried as he screamed at the monsters in the house. Hurry, Capelli, and get my sword

As soon as Mirta put the meat on the table, she attacked them and took part of it, and then went berserk

The door was closed, the warrior grabbed the sword wanting to kill me, while Capelli was asking him to let me go out the door

Mirta went to open the door, but the key did not turn, and she said what happened to the door. I stood in front of the door, looking at the key, and the door opened and she disappeared.

The warrior followed me, but he found nothing

One day, I, the monster Magersi, transformed into a cat and slipped into the hut of the warrior and his wife, Mirta.

The warrior was often away, gathering firewood and hunting deer and rabbits for meat.

As I entered the hut, Capelli noticed me and said to Mirta, "A cat is in our house! Its eyes are scary. Mother, have you seen cats like this in the village?"

Mirta looked confused. "Those wild cats attacked us in the castle, but they disappeared after we killed many of them. They may have come from the castle. Be careful."

In the room, Capelli played, searching through his warrior father's belongings. He found an arrow, a sword, and a small green box. He liked the box and tried to open it, but it wouldn't budge. Then I screamed—and the box opened in front of him.

Inside, he found a star. Capelli pointed it at my eyes, forcing me to disappear.

"Where did you go? Where did you disappear? I don't want to throw it at you!" he screamed. I was watching him from the ceiling.

He hid the golden star and picked up his father's golden keys. "How beautiful are my father's keys! I will keep them safe and hide them. If they are lost, the warrior may never return," he said.

The sun began to set, its orange glow closing my eyes. Then I heard the warrior calling: "Capelli, my love, where are you? Come, I brought a lot of meat—it's rabbits!"

I quickly descended from the ceiling while Capelli arranged his father's things and hid the green box. The warrior had left the door open, so I slipped in behind him and hid in the shadows.

Capelli went to the kitchen to serve Mirta the meat. Later, he sat down to write with ink. The warrior joined him and asked to see what he had written. Taking the paper, the warrior read: A wild cat wants to take my father's keys.

Capelli laughed proudly. "Capelli the writer!" he said. Mirta placed the dining table between them and asked, "What's so funny?"

The warrior replied, "Capelli advises me not to lose my keys—and makes me think of wild cats."

Mirta added, "Yes, there is a cat in the house."

The warrior, now worried, shouted at the monsters in the house. "Hurry, Capelli! Get my sword!"

As Mirta placed the meat on the table, she attacked it and devoured part of it, then went berserk. The warrior grabbed his sword, ready to strike me, while Capelli pleaded, "Father, wait! Let it leave through the door."

Mirta tried to open the door, but the key wouldn't turn. "What happened to the door?" she exclaimed. I stood in front of it, and as the key turned, the door opened—and she disappeared.

The warrior chased me through the hut, but I had vanished without a trace.
