"Huh?"
Lord Zheng coughed twice and said:
"It's just a small trick, really, nothing worth showing off."
In fact, Lord Zheng was secretly cursing Fanli for being such a fool!
Originally, the funeral procession under the city walls was meant to demoralize the Chu people, to achieve the effect of "a song on all sides".
But Fanli made such a spectacle with Zhuguai's remains and led a large crowd in a yangko dance. This effect, this scene, was too stimulating and intense. It might not only fail to lower the Chu people's morale, but instead ignite their anger and make them more eager for battle.
It's like giving the Chu people a shot of adrenaline—what's the point?
Yet, who would have thought, the gates of West Mountain Fort would open just like that, and they actually sent out a cavalry unit to charge out of the city.
Such a move signifies a huge risk, but the Chu people did it anyway.
