Head Constable Yan decided to treat his brother-in-law generously, as a gesture of local hospitality.
Besides, a few years ago, Quande Building had been his own business.
"Is it expensive?" He Chu asked.
Head Constable Yan paused. A single duck from Quande Building cost as much as an ordinary family's expenses for a whole month.
He turned to look at his wife.
The woman was considerate, saying, "My dear husband, I'm craving noodles. I've heard that the noodles in the capital are different from ours back home."
A good woman, she knows how to protect her husband's dignity.
