The little ones were extremely clingy, each of them wanted Amelia Clarke to hold them, and even during bath time, they insisted on her help. Arthur was a bit better, sitting obediently while being washed, but Years By Years and Thomas were so excited they splashed water everywhere in the bathroom.
Owen Moreland told the maids to rest and joined Amelia in bathing the children. Despite the chaos caused by Thomas and Years By Years, he remained patient. His method of bathing the children was practiced and steady, and once finished, he applied some protective ointment on their underarms and necks.
After Amelia and Owen each finished their baths, Years By Years and Thomas were still running energetically around the room.
The kids were still young, so the air conditioning was set to twenty-seven degrees, just to keep it from being too hot. After their baths, Years By Years and Thomas again worked up a sweat playing, while Arthur sat on the bed playing with a model airplane.
