The pork ribs that were almost in his mouth left only oily residue on his fingers, and Kris Cooper frowned in confusion.
"What's wrong?"
Vera Wave smiled at him, "It's my first time making it, so it must not taste good. I'll make it for you again once I get better at it."
"It's okay."
"No way!" She insisted, "I want to give you a wonderful first time."
The man's thin lips turned up slightly, "My first time was wonderful."
Hearing the ambiguity in his tone, she pouted and rolled her eyes at him.
"Pervert."
By then, Aunt Feng and Aunt Li were already helping Grandma Wave into the dining room. Vera glanced sideways, and Kris Cooper, squeezing her palm, bit the pork ribs she was holding into his mouth.
"Hmm... not bad... although it's a bit tough on the outside and tender on the inside... seems like there's a bit too much sugar and not enough salt..."
She frowned, shoving the whole plate of ribs into his hands.
"Finish it all, or you're not getting to bed tonight!"
